This book is excellent no matter how many years you've been married!! Such a quick read, yet truly full of "Brilliant Insights"! Written to women. If you are looking for a great bridal shower or wedding gift, I can't recommend this one enough (You can pair it with the companion book, "Put the Seat Down and Other Brilliant Insights for an Awesome First Year of Marriage" by Jess MacCallum, which is the book written for the groom/husband to read). My church uses this book by Garrison and the companion book by MacCallum for premarital counseling. I have had the chance to teach some of these sessions with my husband (who is one of the pastors on staff), and the books open up solid, authentic discussions between the engaged couples. I also just enjoy grabbing my copy of "He's Not a Mind Reader" and getting good refresh of how I need to interact with my husband...and we've been married almost 19 years! Excellent, excellent book.

Short and to the point. Solidly scriptural, practical advice learned by grace and experience. Not comprehensive but wasn't meant to be. Gives a push in the right direction.
