If Fang dies, I'm going to make Patterson rewrite the book. I really will. Fang dying would screw up the series, and unless Angel gains the power to bring back the dead, Fang HAS TO STAY ALIVE! Fax is one of the BEST parts of this series! Particularly since the Erasers, and the School and all those people either don't exist or aren't interested in them anymore. The series was better when the Flock was running.*later*I have been reading reviews. And it is unanimous. (Or at least it should be.) FANG. CAN. NOT. DIE. We should email Patterson about how Fang can't die.*even later*Okay, I looked at this book on Patterson's webite-AND FANG IS GOING TO BE REPLACED BY DYLAN, A BIRD KID RAISED TO BE MAX'S PERFECT OTHER HALF. Therefore, I'm going to buy it and skip to the end to make sure Dylan dies and Fang doesn't.*even later than even later*I know what happens in this one and in Angel now. *Barfs loudly and violently and a lot and then sobs.* Bleh. I skipped around in both of them, and they SUCKED. Fang ditched Max and now Dylan is like Fang's replacement and Fang spends all of his time with Max's clone, Maya. *now proceeds to say many rude things to James Patterson's picture on the computer screen (not that he actually even writes these books anymore anyway-it just says he does on the cover)* From now on, I'm just going to learn what happens from reviews, because I don't even want to bother trying to read these books anymore.

Oh My God..I just finished this book and I must say this...:I AM GONNA FRIKEN KILL FANG!I mean, the book starts out all right, with Max and Fang beeing all in love and stuff.. Angels a total creep.. Er, and Angel and Max does not get along well.. So at some point Dylan joins the flock and he does not put a lit on his emotions for Max! When Angel, Nudge, Iggy and Gazzy votes Max out of the flock, Fang takes off with her. Angel leads the flock and makes some dumbass decisions. So Max swoops in and saves the day and become the leader, once again. So Angel betrays them all, like, for real this time. She joins up with Dr. Freakenstein and tries to split the flock in two. She wants Fang on her side. Dylan and Fang has an argument that makes Fang realise that he's putting Max and the flock in danger by being there. Later, Max finds a note where he tells her that he's gone looking for answers. So Fang goes to this psygo lab, where Angel is staing, by choice I may add. He gets knocked out and wakes up with an IV. Angel is trying to tell him that it's all gonna be okay, when Fang dies. Angel is horrified and calls for Max with her mind. Max comes, but it's too late. The flock, now including Angel, and Dylan takes out all the people in the lab and Max screams and crys at Fangs dead body. She tries one last desperate thing to get him back to life. It works. Total and Akila are getting married and Max feels like her life is finally okay. Her flock is together and Fang is still there. He takes off from the wedding early and when Max comes home she finds an envelope with his handwritting. He tells her that he love her (This he writes over and iver and in many different ways), but that he's still a danger to her and the flock. He says that she shouldn't try to find him, 'cause he won't be able to tell her no and then they'll jjust have to do this over again. In the end of the letter he writes that if, in exactly twenty years, they haven't expired or died in some other way, he'll meet her at the cliff where they first met the hawks. He says that she can count on him being there. The he writes goodbye. The book ends with Max lying in her bed with a laptop, reading some of Fangs documents, that he hasn't deleted. I tell ya' I was going into hysterics when I read the letter he wrote her! I mean, sure, sometimes I cry in books, but this was really extreme! I couldn't read trough my tears and had to sit and cry for a while before I could read the rest. Then I was just one angry girl! God, would I kill Fang if I was her! What a JERK! And yeah, I know he did it to protect her, blahblahblah.. But it's not like she hasn't been near dead before. I hope she'll be with Dylan, if nothing else, just to piss Fang off! I don't know what to think of Dylan, I mean, he's okay, a little weird, but fine. I would just love it if she mad out with him and Fang saw. God, would that be some revenge! Mwuahahahaha! I'll spend the next weeks visualising ways Max could get the ultimate revenge on Fang. She says in one of the books that she dosen't forgive easialy and she never EVER forgets.. So I guess Fang is in trouble, big time.. I hope so anyway. What and asshole!

Don't kill me for writing this, after all, it’s the truth.I did NOT like this book at all. To tell the truth, starting from the fourth book, everything plummeted from O.K to BAD. The first three books were okay, they're not great, but tolerable. But the fourth book till this book was HORRIBLE! Why?Because James Patterson, the oh so famous author, put way too many variables in the series. I mean, from global warming, to evil Itex corporation, to endanger species, and now to evil scientist that's pretty much like Mr.Chu with the exception that he want to 'help' the world. James Patterson did a fine job at outlining and designing the characters, but he's terrible at making plots. I’m not even sure if he’s the real writer behind all those books he supposedly ‘wrote’Because I hate Max. In my view, I see Max as a dictator who like to control people like puppet. Geez. No wonder why Angel rebelled. I was rolling my eyes when she said ‘You don’t see him arguing with me.’ And the few lines before that were bossier. (I can’t type it up because I can’t remember the exact words). Max is overpowering. Even though she mentioned numerous time of how she want to just stop and relax, in the end, she’s always the one to ordered people. I feel bad for the flock. I did not like Fang either. He’s ignorant, and thinks the world only evolves around him and Max. I mean come on, if you read the entire series, you could tell that he hardly mentioned the flock at all. Even if he did, it would just be in a few lines and the rest are about him, Max, or someone else that DIDN’T matter (example would be the almighty Brigid Dwyer) . When I read this book, I felt that it was only talking, mentioning, saying, whatever about Max. Everything is Max, max, max. My head hurt for reading all of it. Dylan was vaguely mentioned in this book even though he was SUPPOSED to be one of the main problems. Sure, he was mentioned and included but it was never about him or Fang. Just Max. I almost, ALMOST clapped for Angel when she rebelled against Max. Sure, she’s just a little kid who has a bratty attitude (Hmn…mirroring MAX...Again) with an innocent face but not too innocent beneath, and a mind that can be deadly. Most lovers of this book/series would totally hate her, but on my list of Ok characters, she’s above Max. Definitely. I prefer the evil genius over a person who thinks she can solve everything. On to this book horrendous plot. Ok, so another evil scientist arrived. Typical. And Max hates him. Are we surprise? I think another thing I hate about Max is her attitude. She doesn’t use her brain! She always gives me people an attitude that might kill her. Max thinks she can solve everything, that she is just amazing to the point she have solutions for everything; and I wanted to barf every time I heard he ordered her ‘flock’. Anyway, Max and the evil scientist didn’t clash well, and they fight. Blah blah blah. The rest was history. Oh and the Fang thing? Ignore it. Why? Because the almighty James Patterson (that’s suspiciously ‘writing’ books) was so GREAT that he didn’t even think to ELABORATE on this Fang dying thing.I think from my mean, evil, cruel, bias review, you guys understand how much I hate this book/series. Well, that’s my opinion. And to the new readers to this series, ignore me if you think I’m too mean and judgmental. After all, ignorance is bliss, right? And to those who agree with me, high five?

This was probably the worst book out of the series. Angel is unstable, Max and Fang leave the Flock for a short while, Dylan comes into the picture and tries to get Max to himself(which he failed at), Angel sides with a mad scientist and becomes evil, Fang dies and comes back to life after he had been dead too long, and Fang leaves.

Hey fellow Maximum Ride Fans! Just thought you should know that if you look on not only can you read everything it's about but you can preview the first 6 chapters!!!!And I'm totally with a bunch of these people on the throwing of the book if Fang dies!!!!! I mean, he and max just officially got together and if he kills him off what's Max gonna do!!!!IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE WHOLE THING ON THEN DON'T READ ON!!!! So as I'm sure you know this new bird kid,Dylan, who supposedly is Max's other half!!! I know totally not cool to Fang!!! So like what!?!?! Fang dies so max switches to this Dylan!!! Come on!!!! I mean read what he wrote on his website!!!!FANG WILL BE THE FIRST TO DIE.Maximum Ride is used to living desperately on the run from evil forces sabotaging her quest to save the world—but nothing has ever come as close to destroying her as this horrifying prophetic message. Fang is Max's best friend, her soul mate, her partner in the leadership of her flock of winged children. A life without Fang is a life unimaginable.BUT THERE WILL BE ANOTHER...When a newly created winged boy, the magnificent Dylan, is introduced into the flock, their world is upended yet again. Raised in a lab like the others, Dylan exists for only one reason: he was designed to be Max's perfect other half.TO REPLACE FANG.Thus unfolds a battle of perfection versus passion that terrifies, twists, and turns...and meanwhile, the apocalypse is coming.

OMG THE LETTER WAS SOOO SAD!!!Dear Max,You looked so beautiful today. I am going to remember what you looked like forever. And i hope you remember me the same way. Clean, haha. Im glad our last time together was happy, but im leaving tonight. Leaving the flock, and this time its for good. I dont know if il see any of you again. And the thing is Max, everyone is just a little bit right, and added up all together it makes this one big right. Dylans a little bit right about how my being here might be putting the rest of you in danger. The threat might just of been about Dr.Hans but we don't know that for sure. Angle is a little bit right about how splitting up the flock will help all of us survive. And the rest of the flock is a little bit right about how when you and I are together, were focused on each other. We cant help it. The thing is Maximum, I love you. I cant help but be focused on you, when were together. If your in the room, i want to be next to you. If your gone, I think about you. Your who i wanna talk to.In a fight, I want you at my back. When were together the sun is shining, and when we are apart, everything is in shades of gray. I hope you will forgive me someday for turning our worlds into shades of gray, At least for a while. Your not at your best when your focused on me. I mean your at your best Maxness but not your best leaderness. I mostly need Maxness, the flock mostly needs leaderness. And Angle, if your listing to this, it aint you sweety, not yet. At least for a couple more years, the flock needs a leader to survive, no matter how capable everyone thinks he or she is. The truth is that they do need a leader, and the truth is that you are the best leader. Its one of the things I love about you, but the more I thought about it, the more sure i got that this is the right thing to do. Maybe not for you or for me but for all of us together, our flock. Please don't try to find me. This is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. (besides wearing that suit today.) And seeing you again, will only make it harder. You would ask me to come back and i would, because i cant say no to you. but all the problems would still be there, and id end up leaving again, and then we would have to go through this all over again. Please make us only go through this once. I love you. I love your smile, your snarl, your grin, your face when your sleeping. I love your hair streaming out from behind you as we fly. With the sunlight making it shine. I love seeing your wings spreading out. White and brown and tanned and speckled, and the tiny downy feathers, right at the top of your shoulders. I love your eyes, whether they are cold of calculating or suspicious or laughing or warm, like when you look at me. You are the best warrior I know, the best leader. Your the most comforting mom we've ever had. Your the biggest goof ball, the worst driver, and a truly lousy cook. You've kept us safe and provided for us, in good times and bad. Your my best friend, my first and only love, and the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, with wings or without. Tell you what sweetie, if in 20 years we haven't expired yet, and the world is more or less in one piece, Il meet you at the top of that cliff, where we first met the hawks, and learned to fly with them. You know the one. 20 years from today, if im alive, il be there. Waiting for you. You can bet on it.Goodbye my love,FangIsnt that sad??? plz rate

I love the first three Maximum Ride Novels. But that's it. The Final Warning made was a 2 compared to the 10 of the Angel Experiment, Schools Out--Forever, and Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports. Max was a 3. Fang went down into the negatives. Does anyone else read FanFiction? Take a look at the story Amazing Clichés by rainbowstike. This story was first published in July 2009 about cliché FanFiction stories-not even the good ones-and think about how many of those ideas James Patterson Used in Fang. There's Dylan the Gary Sue, the flock almost forming a band, Evil Angel, the flock making Max leave, the death of Fang, the OTHER flock, everyone randomly hating Dylan, and probably more that I'm forgetting. Everyone was out of character, especially Angel who has somehow morphed from an adorable six year old who tells Max that "she's her favorite too" into an outrageous and evil seven year old without reason. Fang was never a distraction to Max, he always helped her and supported her, keeping her even MORE focused. Nudge barely talked, Iggy and Gazzy barely made any bombs, it was like a horrible FanFiction where they forget everyone besides Max and Fang. Not to mention that Iggy, Nudge, and Gazzy would never vote for Max to leave.Let's not forget that James Patterson is leaving many things at dead ends. Gazzy has more abilities than being gassy, as most people have probably forgotten, because JP has not mentioned Gazzy's voice mimicking ability since about the second book. Whatever happened to Nudge's ability to attract metal? That doesn't matter; only her hacking ability does, because it can help fix plot holes about finding information. Iggy can see colors, not that anyone would ever spare it a single thought since we found out in the Final Warning. Max, Fang, and Angel have gills. GILLS! Yet why on earth would they matter at all except to save the day and let the flock live happily ever after. Wouldn't the rest of the flock still be curious why they weren't developing gills? Furthermore, Angel has mentioned that she has a voice. That is something huge. It brings up hundreds of questions like why she hasn’t had brain attacks, who her voice is, whether it’s good or not, et cetera. That deserves more thought and consideration by everyone in the flock, this big of an event is not something you just ignore. A normal acting Angel would have told someone by now, or at least have been a little worried about it. With all of this going on, it seems like we have an Angel 2 instead of a regular Angel. There, my rant is over. Feel free to comment, agree, bash, flame, or whatever you want. I’d love to hear your opinion on things.

Alright, about this book...There's no specific word to describe it, really. I thought it to be a HUGE letdown and, quite frankly, a waste of my time. I thoroughly enjoyed the first three books of the Maximum Ride Series, but, with The Final Warning and the books following, it has continued to go farther and farther downhill. Breaking it down into element:Negative Elements:The Plot - I thought it was hastily strewn together and lacking substance. It was just bad, and the romance didn't help it at all. First off, the 'romance' between Max and Fang was incredibly awkward and unrealistic. Talk about an unhealthy relationship. Max and Fang's 'love' consisted of licking the back of each other's throats and extreme codependency. Max was a bubbling mess when Fang wasn't around to swap spit with; any independence she had in the first books is now gone. Okay, so they're madly in love, and I can see where you become more depend on the one you love. However, when the dependency is taken to levels such as these, you know there's a problem. Anyways, back to the actual plot. The villain lacked evilness and explanation. There really was no reason to hate him, unless you think the last conflict is a reason. I can't go into too many details, but it was an accident and he even seemed sorry. The lack of explanations really got to me in this one. Things happened that I still don't understand. The fights were pretty much meaningless and random. And, I could go on and on, but I think it's time to move on! :)The Max - What the heck happened to the smart, witty, independent Max? It was like she was a whole different person. Fully equipped with a parade of boys willing to do anything for her, a serious lack of flaws, and her extreme dependency (which you could count as a fault, but it's not portrayed in the book as so), Patterson has produced a full fledged Mary Sue.Angel - What was with her? The author never explained her actions or thoughts. She was just scary, and her part in the book left me rather confused. The Flock - This book didn't focus on the flock. It focused on Max and Fang's love life. There was no heart racing adventure in which the flock teamed together and used their trust and love in each other to defeat the bad guy. It bothered me because I really like Gazzy, Nudge, Angel and Iggy's personalities. I felt like you barely got to see any of them in this book, and the few parts you did see of them scared you. They aren't even the same people anymore.A Serious Lack of Funny - Even though I thought the books after #3 weren't as good, I still thought they were funny. They may have sported elements I didn't like, but I still broke out laughing at least once a chapter. I didn't laugh once while reading this book. There was no funny comebacks or ironic situations. It was just... blah. However, I split my sides as I read the second epilogue. That one chapter captured the original atmosphere of the first couple books. This book was just angry and sexually provoked.Positive Elements:The Second Epilogue - As I said before, it was hilarious. I couldn't help but smile. Conclusion:This book was a giant letdown that continues the decline of the series. Most likely, the next book won't be any better. Feel free to disagree, but, for me, it was a waste of time. The trite plot, the corny romance, the unexplained events... It was just too much. I could have read the last chapter and understood everything that happened versus the entire book. It doesn't seem like Patterson is even writing it anymore, the style is changing so rapidly. I didn't enjoy reading this, and, when I finished it, the first thing to escape my mouth was, "That was really stupid."

I personally loved this book at the end I was so sad I was in tears!!! I was reading reviews and those of you who hated the book and thought that fang should die... well you have your opinion and I have mine! But he should not die I absulutly love him and Max deserves to have a guy like him! I got the books the first ones and then I read them in a week no joke I was totally into them I still am!! I give it a five star definatly!! I think that he has a way with keeping you hooked and righting various things that happen so that the book opeals to a wider audeince.Ok well I got this book like pronto as soon as I was finished the ones before it!! I was soo upset about Angel!! SHe is a lunatic!! She has gotta [go I say that the flock should kick her outa the Flock and carry on not looking back!! I would not be heart brocken if she was killed!! Fang left at the end to protect them yet Angel thinks she is the leader and constantly leads the mad scientists and people to them and she is the one always forgive her, no way she needs to go NOW!!!! I loved this one it was the best yet and I absolutly love them!!! OK James Patterson I have to tell you even if you never see this I want to tell you to drop everything youi are doing and PLEASE right the next one ASAP!!! I have to say that Angel is a freaking witch of a cow eating freak of nature evil little oger!!!!!!!! I think that this book should be read by ever one!!! And I can't wait for the next one!!!! I think that Iggy deserves some more time in the spot light along with Nudge and Gazzy!! However what is with MR. Chu ok that was left off and never picked up again I think there needs to be more about him and Brigid I also think that something bad should happen to the cradle rocking freak (brigid)!! She is to old for fang and needs to go!! HAHAHA the plot is some what confusing and you need to pay close attention to that but people in the story are great charactors which makes it ok!!I can't wait for the next one it better come out soon!!

Although the series has gone down hill I am still looking forward to his new book. Fang is my favourite character and I've stuck with the series this far I might as well try and finish it. Though, I wish he would go somewhere with them because this series doesn't seem to be concluding.EDITFinally read this book! I'm 20 but I feel the need to finish all series that I start so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!It's a cute tale, again filled with "Scientists are bad bad people" and "don't mess with DNA" but I guess the subtleties are worth thinking about if you survive the brutal beating round the head with morality then it's worth a read.

I'm a huge spoiler junkie, so I read all that I could find before reading this book. From what I was hearing, the plot was screwed up, there were plotholes everywhere, there was an overload of Fax, Max and Fang were all over each other and the rest of the flock was barely in it.I think these last three things (we'll get back to the plot later) are true, but on a smaller level. It wasn't like Max and Fang were making out every other chapter. They kissed four times, there were a few little small signs of affection (holding hands, etc.), and yes, Max spent a lot of time thinking about when she could be alone with Fang. And how hot he was, which I found annoyingly out of character. But the flock was in it quite a lot, actually. Probably more than in books four and five. At one point, there's five chapters in a row where Max and Fang aren't there, and it's about the flock in third person. Plus, the whole flock is mad at Max and Fang because of all the time they spend together... I thought that was interesting, and out of character of them. But the point is, they were important to the story. Now, plotwise... I hope there's going to be a seventh book (I would assume so, since this one ended on something of a cliffhanger), because it will make or break this series. This book took a step in reviving it. A lot of people saw the random return of the Erasers as a major plot hole, but this wasn't the only thing that returned from earlier books-- Max saw Eraser Max again, for example. If JP uses this seventh book to make some connection between all the loose ends in this series-- an alliance between Mr. Chu, Dr. Gunther-Hagen, and the School, maybe?-- then I think we can get back on track here. If he abandons all this, though, and introduces a completely new criminal, then I doubt this series will be saved.

I know I will like this book. Even if there's a mass extinction of all things mutant. NNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going on vacation on March 14 and this book comes out on the 15. NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!I don't get why everyone thinks Fang will die. Haven't you noticed that the little subheading thingies on the series always come out opposite??Besides, everyone has to die someday. Even book characters. Unless they're immortal book characters. And I would throw this book against the wall and probably rip it if anybody in the Flock were immortal. I'm guessing that Fang will die at age 80!!!EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!! On second thought, everybody in the Flock should die before age 30 (preferably fighting) because, who wants a bunch of grannies and grampas that used to be able to go around saving the world???FANG AND MAX MUST DIE, TOGETHER!!!! TeeheeI really think everybody in the Flock (+Total), Dr. Martinez, Ella, Jeb, and anyone else related whatsoever to the Flock should die so there's no grief. Call me an evil maniac, but it should be that way!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

I just, UGH! This book was almost painful to struggle through. Although I am a huge Maximum Ride fan, reading this book was like pulling teeth. All the characters went down hill. Fang and Max got kind of awkward as they toned up the PDA, and I just never thought that it would come between them and the Flock. Never, ever saw that happening. And Dylan, he was just one dimensional. Not even just a flat character, he was not a tangible being. I felt like Nudge and the Gasman were totally left out of the book, as was Total. Iggy seemed to have become a self-absorbed non-caring idiot, and Angel was just scary. Just scary. I felt like through this book I lost all of my respect for the characters. And don't even get me started on the whole Fang dying and coming back to life (Hello Harry Potter) and then leaving like Max will just be okay with that, and he's not hurting anyone (Hi Edward Cullen). I'll just rant for ages and then be bored. In short, this book sucked, and I will not be reading any more of the Maximum Ride series, unfortunately.

Okay so I really like the Maximum Ride books but lately I have been wanting to burn all of the books!!! Why you may ask???WARNING SPOILERS:Okay so1) Angel is evil then she's not then she is? WHAT?! 2) Dylan shows up and....I don't even want to get into that mess 3) The flock kicks Max out?!? Because she loves Fang or something.....UGH just UGH this book was awful I don't know what going on with James P but its like he's trying to make the book more interesting and in the proses of that he forgets what the book is supposed to be about! Its about Max and the flocks wonderful adventure about saving the world and lately all I'm seeing is power struggles in the flock, Max and Fang making goo goo eyes at each other, Dylan being treated like an outcast, depression, no more fun time with the flock and the flock moving to Hollywood or something?! And then Fang leaving.... You know what?! I applaud Fang for leaving all this mess that is called the flock! They haven't even saved the world from this "danger" that will destroy everything as we know it. Also what happened to this mysterious voice in Max's head?? When will we EVER figure that out?? It's just getting annoying. No questions are answered we only get more questions! Do yourself (and me) a favor Mr. James Patterson and just finish this series.

I don't know if his books are just getting worse, or if I'm just getting picky. Though thankfully he's not preaching about the enviroment in this one. Basically this book just contains a lot of swooning and the stereotypical dumb evil scientist. Patterson really needs to get new bad guys, all his evil scientists are practically the same person. Though I have to say, I love his use of WTH? :)

Horrible in every sense of the word. I honestly wish there was a rating lower than one star. I'd criticize the plot, but i had trouble actually finding one . Heres an abridged version-Pointless love triangle's, pointless characters, nonexistent plot, nonthreatening villains, a weird song sung by the incredibly dull new character Dylan, horribly written, and honestly insulting to anyone who's a fan of the previous books. Maximum Ride has never been about the romance, yet now its completely overtaken what little plot exists in this book . I don't mind romance here and there, but i felt like Max sitting around thinking about how gorgeous Dylan and Fang are for pages was so out of character its almost laughable. Dylan is introduced, and I'd tell you about him, but frankly, i don't know him that well. His character is boring and completely flat. I found nothing remotely like able about him, and didn't understand how Max found him appealing or even interesting. The only thing I know is that he's amazing good-looking, a fact which you are consistently reminded of over and over and over again . If your a fan of this book series, avoid it at all costs, unless you enjoy monumental disappointments. If you aren't a fan, read the first three books and stop. You will probably want to read the rest of the series but trust me, any mysteries or unanswered questions you have from books 1-3 have still gone unanswered in book 6,7 and 8.

Oh dear lord, this book was amazing. I finished it in 2 hours. Seriously. Alright, review time. Does anybody else long for the whole "on the run" days? Max being Mother Teresa isn't as fun and the plot seems to be just... ok, what else can I throw in there?BUT the characters HUGELY make up for the semi-poinless plot that mainly just focuses on bird kids in random peril. All I can say is THANK GOD JP didn't make Dylan a likeable character! And thank god Max doesn't even think about ending up with him, besides the rare teenage girl peeking through. I wouldn't have read it if Dyl had more than a 32% chance of getting the girl. BUT THE ENDING??? Patterson, are you trying to KILL ME?!!!!!!!Ugh. Fang, come back!!!I hate Angel. Little creeper.FANG!Hate Dylan, too. And what was up with Nudge, Iggy, and Gazzy tossing Max out? Ingrates. I was thinking 'This screams mind control! Let's go toss Angel off a cliff and everything will be awesome!'I wish someone had died in this book. It would have made it more intense. Obviously, I was rooting for either Dylan or Angel to croak. Got scared about Jeb for a sec there.

i agree with most of the other comments, out of the whole flock i only like fang and iggy. The other books were very confusing and off topic. like i dont even know what happened to that ape and organs in a jar guy, that was just really random. I hope this book makes more sense than the others. But what i was really confused about was mr. ching or whatever his name is? the villains are VERY messed up in this series. i dont even know why i still read this series, but the name of this book says enough, so i will read it

First thought after finishing book: Sucked badSecond thought: Are you kidding? Third thought: Really. Fourth thought: Big mistake.James Patterson is getting lazier. He’s stretched this series too long, the characters are so unstable, the plot’s all over the place, there’s no story, no humor, the same-old villains, and more mushy romance than ever, and Fax fans are going to gush over this, but count me out.

I love the entire series and I have every book up to #5. I can't wait for this one to come out. My biggest disappointment in this book would be if they actually let Fang die, cause if they do that I might die. He and Max just started to grow in their relationship, I'm anxious to see what they have in stored for us.

Wow. WAY a step up from MAX, which was book five. One thing I don't get is: OMFG, Max, kick Angel out already! She's killing y'all.Which, I'm guessing, is why book seven is called ANGEL. I'll be starting it soon.Soon means now.

I'm giving Fang only two stars. I used to love this book series when the flock was on the run, sleeping in caves and eating whatev' they can get their hands on... but now that they seem to have unlimited resources, strange mood swings, and a new evil scientist to fight every half book the series has really gone down hill for me :(But this is not a review on the whole series, just book numero six, Fang. I swear it took me five months to actually buy this book. That's five months after it came out! Which means it was like two years since I had read the fifth book! I loved the series but since it was going caploopy I struggled to find the desire to read the next one. Of coarse though I needed to know what happened with Fax (Fang and Max's romance) so I picked it up and read... Here are it's major problems 1) Max seems like a different person. She doesn't seem as high tempered and kick ass anymore. She is really annoying me and I don't like her anymore. I hate that JP did this to her!! She seems to have gone soft! 2) There is another badly thought out evil scientist that acts like a six year old. I don't remember his name cuz it was hard and confusing plus I didn't care enough to even try. This evil dude is just like the others, wants to help Max (in a disturbing manipulative way) and get her to help him cuz the apocalypse is coming and blah blah blah... JP, this apocalypse needs to come already cuz every three chapters they say its almost here! its almost here! just let me add five more bad guys and unnecessary bad plot twists first! I also hate doctor whatev' cuz he brought Dylan into the flock for no reason, other than HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE MAX'S SOUL MATE! WTF! So JP decided to add a love triangle... of coarse... all great books have them (sarcasm).3) Dylan: So now a hot blond bird kid with the voice of an angel (not our demon Angel, the good ones from heaven) is part of the flock? Okey dokey! Lets just ignore him for a while cuz he isn't that important! Lets go back to Fax issues! Yeah, that's how you write a book. Add a major deadly plot twist then don't support it with examples and then ignore it for a while. They introduce Dylan as a the opposite of Fang, light happy innocent and giggly, say he's Max's soul mate, have him not even really try to win her heart, then just have him do nothing while other dumb things happen. 4) Angel: She is evil. She says Fang will die, kicks Max out of the flock and takes over, publicizes the bird kids, points a gun at Max, and abandons them for Doctor something Hans (I think thats what his name was..). Kay, we get it, you never know what Angel will do next so just get used to her mood swings of evil. I hope she gets shot. 5) FANG!/ Fax: Damn.. Fang is all moody and googley-eyed now! See, I cant speak for everyone but I liked Fang when he was bad ass and secretive and hard to get and making out with redheads (teehee I have red hair!) but still kind and confused and amazing and hot and sexy.....(sorry for going on like that, the dude was my perfect novel hottie). Now Fang seems like a pussy. He just does :/ He has lost his mojo or something and I hate it. Also his relationship with Max seems fake. JP did not make them a teenage couple at all. They say things that corny middle age people say in the 1900's. I just don't believe it. Then in the end Fang decides to leave for Max's own good and its like WTF!!! FFFFFFF!!!!! HHHH!!! FFFFFFFF!! damn... that sux and ruined my day. So overall I disliked the book Fang because they took out all the stuff I loved about it and replaced it with crap. So JP, shoot angel, have the freakin apocalypse already, and have Dylan grow a pair cuz if Fang doesn't come back and return to normal, im gunna need Dylan to be bad ass for me.

Fang (Maxium Ride #6) I loved this book, best in the series so far.Max and her flock are flying to Africa, where her mother's environmental group, Coalition to Stop the Madness (CSM), is hosting a refugee camp to provide food and medical assistance to the needy. The flock is going to hang out and help where they can. They'll be staying in a rustic tent and eating unappetizing things like millet balls. But they've survived much worse, and helping out at the refugee camp goes right in line with their mission. And even though the flock faces the unimaginable every day, in no way could they be prepared for the next two surprise bombshells. First, one of the scientists at the refugee camp, Dr. Hans Gunther-Hagen, seeks the flock out to introduce himself and his protégé, Dylan, who just happens to be a new avian hybrid. Dylan is technically only eight months old and doesn't even know how to fly yet, but he's taller than Fang, appears to be a teenager and is absolutely gorgeous. And according to the doctor, Dylan has been genetically engineered to be Max's perfect other half. Of course, nobody asked Max her opinion on the matter; she is very protective of her flock and doesn't let just anyone in the circle. And besides, she's very much in love with Fang. But then the other shocking announcement makes matters even more complicated. Out of the blue, Angel reveals that Fang is going to die soon. She refuses to explain her message and hardly displays any emotions with it either. Something is changing in her, and not for the better. She even voices her intent to take over the leadership of the flock. Max is hurt over Angel's coldness and terrified about losing Fang. Max and Fang are soul mates, and nothing anybody says or does will change that. Will it? James Patterson's incredible imagination appears to be never-ending. His characters are brilliant, colorful and wild; Max is a particular favorite with her brave soul, deep and well-guarded emotions, and hilariously sarcastic attitude. The flock faces each new adventure with spirit and muscle, while holding tight to each other, the only family they've ever known. A couple of new characters are introduced, one of whom, Dylan, promises a lot of conflict and new direction. But these books aren't just about adventure and excitement; Patterson cleverly weaves environmental issues into his action-filled plots and then crams each installment with energy and humor. FANG is another winner, and I can't wait for the next Maximum Ride novel.

Tipikal cerita yang dipanjang-panjangin hehehehe Nggak ada yang spesial, yang ada malah bikin bingung hahahaha. Nggak tahu mau ngomong apa? Nggak tahu harus komen apa? Kayanya cukup baca Epilognya aja dah...bab-bab sebelumnya ya gitu dah heheheheEpilog yang sukses buat gue jadi mengharu biru kala membacanya. Sedih di kala bahagia. Someday we might have only a few seconds to figure out the meaning of life***Preview buat Naga:DYLAN WAS STARING into my eyes. Hard. He was leaningtoward me.“Dylan, no — stop.”His hands were on my shoulders, pulling me closer. “Max,stay,” he said. “I know it’s hard for you to understand. Oraccept. But we were made to be together. You need me.”I edged away but couldn’t disconnect from his eyes. “Ialready have everything — and everyone — I need,” I toldhim. I tried to sound sure of myself. It was clear that Dylanwasn’t fooled by anything.“No,” Dylan murmured, almost sadly, as if he wanted tobreak the news to me gently. “You do need me, Max. I can helpyou more than anyone.”“Yeah?” I asked, my voice a squeak. It felt impossiblenot to drown in the deep blue of his eyes. His strong handsslipped from my shoulders and curled around my back. I’d neverfelt anyone close to me like this except Fang. It was uncomfortable— but there were also shivers going down my spine.“You need me because I . . . I can see things no one else can,”he confessed. “I can see people from across the world, acrossan ocean. I can see what’s going to happen. I can protect you.”“You don’t know me, Dylan,” I said, steeling my voice butstill totally under the control of his gaze. “I’ve never needed tobe protected.”It was as though he didn’t even hear me. He stroked hishands along the tops of my wings, smoothing the featherssoftly. “I can see that you and I will be together,” he said, nohint of a smile on his unearthly good-looking face. “Forever.”

Really Patterson? You're gonna end a book like that? In that way? Do you enjoy laughing evilly when you make all your readers cry over that DAMN LETTER?!? Omg, I need a minute. Ok, back to some professionalism. This was probably my favourite so far out of the series. Yes, there is still that fast paced adventure that we all dearly love in this series, but it was nice to see a little slower sort of adventure in this book. I suddenly loved the conflict that was presented in this book, loved the way the flock reacted to each other and to Max's leadership. We've seen a lot of the flock dealing with problems outside of their circle, and it was interesting to see them come to difficult conclusions about what is happening inside their own family. They have a new arch nemesis, and new, completely different problem that just made the plot absolutely nail its potential. We were introduced to some new characters, which I have a feeling are going to contribute and affect the ENTIRE plot of the next few books, leading up to the end of the series. This was just so amazing! It was so different, and exciting to read, and I just absolutely love this book. But, like please, Patterson. You broke Max's heart, and you broke mine too.

    * "Fang" is the dark, handsome love interest for pretty Max, leader of six winged children, in an ongoing series. James Patterson starts with obligatory points. Charitable cause is contributing medicine and food to African poor. Mad scientist villain injects humans for improvements, ignores deformed and dead collateral damage, and fights mindless flunkies. I do not like the repetition common to other books, or the destructive ending. Six-months out but fully-grown adult Dylan is designed to be Max's perfect mate. She joins group, looks good, and shares defensive duties, as does their reappearing creator/ rescuer Jeb. Both distract, rather than actively propel plot action. Silly little Angel predicts Fang's death (view spoiler)[ and causes his capture, battering, and destruction. She betrays and disrupts the whole flock. Fang's departure and the team breakup is the bottom of the pit. Angel deserves to be evicted and never forgiven. The end is a disaster, hardly a minor blip as treated.(hide spoiler)]
