Bob marley was one of the most interesting musicians of all time. The things that i learned about him really helped me understand where he came from and the culture that he lived in. Its amazing how he was able to be a musician even know he came from such a poor family

Bob Marley is one of the most famous and well known musicians that have ever lived, he changed the game of reggae music and was the only member of his band The Wailers to stand out and make a name for himself. This book portrays his life perfectly, from his youth to the peak of his career, all the way to his tragic death in the late 1960s. I would suggest this book to everyone who wants to know more about Bob Marley.

Although he is the first name of reggae, little more is thought of him beyond that. This well-researched, well-documented biography reveals so much of Marley, beyond the stereotypes of marijuana and Rastifarianism. Though the author focused on Bob Marley and the other two men of the Wailers, Bunny and Tosh, he revealed some of the turmoil and politic upset of Jamaica. Because of this book, I will need to look up some others about the carribean culture.

Redemption Song is my favourite out of this 14 song selection and of course it sounds ok on acoustic guitar. I copied the front cover in pastel and that work of art hangs on my wall.

"My music will go on forever. Maybe it’s a fool say that, but when me know facts me can say facts. My music will go on forever.” — Bob MarleyHead and shoulders above the rest! -- Diane ™ Among the many amazing things about Bob's music, to me the greatest is that is had no boundaries or limitations to who it could reach and who it could inspire. I also love the purpose of the songs he writes and the style of the music - it takes your worries away and makes you feel good, and I think that's what music is about. Marley has inspired country artists, jazz artists, folk artist, reggae artists, funk artists, rap and hip-hop artists, R & B artists, Rock and Roll artists, DJs, among many others. This is something that very few names if any can be associated with.Another reason he is the greatest is that no artist can come close to the raw emotions Marley portrayed because as he was rising in stardom, he was still in the middle of a major political war in his country and even had an assassination attempt on his life. So all of those REAL emotions went into the music making it that much more powerful. Marley always kept the music PURE though, and I applaud that. There have been many amazing artists over time, I believe all the truly good artists have come and past, but Marley sits at the top in my book. His music will literally play on forever and his name will never be forgotten, because LEGENDS never die!I thank you Bob! Thank you for your courage, your passion, your REALNESS, your boldness, your music, thank you for being a REAL leader. RIP

Bob Marley is a great guy. He was a very smart guy and mostly kind to his parents. But he also had a bad influence in his bay. He snaked in a very young age but he has got stopped by his dad and a friend. But as soon as he grew up with his love of music he had the love for a girl that was so special to him. When Bob grew up he had a lot to do. He got to the point of being so famous enough that people followed him in the streets every single time he goes out. He also began to smoke. His love for smoking grew in a bad way. Bob in a certain point got to be a big addict to drugs and weed. People say that he went to jail but it's not really believed. He also grew up to be in the biggest classes of composing pop music.

    1. scholastic, level32. 5/1~5/8 80 minutes3. Ciddy, Robert, Trench, Toddy, singer, wail, Ritaa4. I like this book. Robert was born in 1926 in Nine Miles, and grown up by his parents, but they divorced. His mother had a new relationship with Toddy, and he changed Bob's life. He wanted to earn money from music. He played with two young men, and he saw Rita. There are not only life stories about Bob but also information about Reggae or Jamaica.5. acutually, I have not finished reading this book, so I am looking forward to what happened next.

I had never even heard of Reggae music before I became aware of Bob Marley. I do not agree with the all the actions of his life or some of his lyrics either, however Reggae has such a great natural vibe to it. It is full of life and fun and you just have to dance. I think he started the trend for this music.
