When I found an eviction notice taped on my apartment door, I had two options: find a comfortable cardboard box to call home, or move in with Tucker Jameson. Seeing that cardboard makes me feel itchy, I chose the latter. Which shouldn't be that big of a deal Tucker is one of my good friends. And because he's still pining after his ex-girlfriend and I'm trying to finish my nursing degree, there is nothing to worry about in the romance department, making my last semester an easy one to conquer.Boy, was I wrong. Rules are set, dinners are made, conversations are had, and a shirtless, swoony roommate walks around in nothing but a pair of black briefs, ruining me for every other man. Before I know it, I turn into a panting, lust-filled woman begging for Tucker to kiss me, touch me, and show me exactly what is hiding under those briefs. But with great orgasms, comes great consequences. Tucker might be my friend and roommate but he’s also my best friend's ex-boyfriend, making him completely off-limits. At least that's what my brain is telling me, my heart is speaking an entirely different language....

*****4.5 STARS*****{ARC Generously Provided by Author}A few feet away stands the woman who captured my heart when I least expected it. She came back into my life as a friend and burrowed her soul into mine, making it almost impossible to breathe without her.The latest rom-com standalone written by Meghan Quinn is filled with a ton of laugh out loud moments that only the authors signature brand of humor can evoke. It is a ”friends-to-lovers” story that at times will torture you with the painful angst but also contains so much heart. If you read CO-WRECKER, you will have already met the Hero and Heroine of MY BEST FRIEND’S EX. Tucker Jameson is Sadie’s high school sweetheart and Emma is one of Sadie’s long time best friends. I would also categorize this as a forbidden love story due to the nature of their connection to each other. Although I found this one to be a little more on the serious side, I still really enjoyed reading it and Meghan Quinn has now become an automatic must-read author for me.Emma Marks is in her final year of nursing school and finds herself in a bit of a pickle. She and her roommate have been given an eviction notice and must vacate their apartment within three days. Emma’s having a hard time finding a place to rent with such short notice. One night while drowning her sorrows at a local bar, she runs into Tucker Jameson. Tucker and Emma grew up together and lost touch after his relationship with Emma’s best friend Sadie fell apart. They had a very volatile relationship which went to hell once Sadie became pregnant and then ultimately had a miscarriage. While it’s been almost over a year and Sadie is now happily in love with her new boyfriend, Tucker has been stuck in limbo. Living in the house he bought for Sadie and the baby they lost, has only helped to further isolate him from his friends and keeps him from moving on from the past. When Tucker hears that Emma is in desperate need of a place to stay, he offers her to come live with him as he has a pretty decent sized house with a spare bedroom. Emma feels a little weird about living with Tucker because she realizes that he obviously has been going through a rough patch and that she hasn’t been a good friend to him since she never bothered to check on him over the past year. She does end up moving in with Tucker when she is unable to find anything else.At first, their interactions are a bit uncomfortable because of all the past drama but they soon fall into an easy friendship that is filled with some hilarious banter and sexy flirtations. They do set up some rules of the house and two of them strike up a painful reminder of Tucker’s past – they’re not to ever discuss his relationship with Sadie and the room across the hall from Emma’s bedroom is never to be entered or talked about as well. It’s pretty obvious to Emma that the room across from hers was meant to be the baby’s room and the realization that Tucker hasn’t been able to move on from that loss, breaks Emma’s heart. Readers will find it hard not to fall crazy in love with Tucker. He's still so lost in his grief and heartbreak over losing Sadie and their baby.Tucker and Emma start to feel deeply attracted to each other but because of his past relationship with Sadie, they both try to fight the chemistry that they share. But eventually, flirty banter starts to turn into playful touching and here is where Emma starts to feel like Tucker was one serious vagina tease! He walks around in tight fitting boxers and nothing else, knowing how it affects Emma and then he starts hot and heavy make-out sessions only to abruptly stop as soon as things are getting unbearably hot between them. He deserved a swift kick to the nuts for being so hot & cold.Tucker and Emma will eventually push all their doubts to the side and give in to their desires for each other. It’s then that Emma’s fear that Tucker’s heart still belongs to Sadie, starts to magnify even more. She is plagued by thoughts that she will never measure up to Sadie in Tucker’s eyes. Is Tucker still stuck in the past? Or has the time with Emma helped to heal him and bring clarity to his mind? MY BEST FRIEND’S EX is currently available! UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT!With all the respect to the readers who loved this book, I must say that it has been a total disappointment for me! I almost DNF'ed it a couple of times. This wasn't a hot and forbidden romance that I'd initially expected it to be. The book is told by dual point of view, both from Tucker's and Emma's.The plot:Tucker was once with Sadie. Emma was both his and Sadie’s friend. The problem is, Tucker’s "ex" is not only his "ex" (not one of the many exes), she is the one and only girl he dated and loved and thought he would end up with, she is the girl who he thought was his forever. So there is this heavy weight of losing the love of his life. When Sadie got pregnant, he was ready to become a family. He bought them a house and even prepared the nursery himself. Then, Sadie lost the baby before it was born. And, she moved on!She moved on, leaving him and their relationship behind. So, he didn’t only lose the baby, he lost the only girl he loved at the same time. And what is even worse, she moved on with another guy, being extremely happy whereas Tucker lived a life of misery, celibacy and hopelessness for nearly two years. Yes, 2 years celibate in the house he bought for Sadie and their child! He keeps the nursery as it is a sacred place and he doesn’t buy any furniture or decorations for his house to make it a home. He has very few things, such as a bed that he can sleep on, a fridge to keep food etc. Very basic things.Emma enters back into his life as a roommate! After 2 years of choosing the side of Sadie and putting a pause on her friendship with Tucker, Emma enters into his life after meeting him in a bar. Emma is evicted from her house and needs a temporary place to live in until she graduates and Tucker offers her a room in his house. When she accepts it, instantly, their weird and painful attraction begins.First, they put silly house rules to obey. And for the life of me, I couldn't make sense why one would ever put a rule like the one below:One night a week, Emma and Tucker talk about sex, all the sex, penises and vaginas, vaginas and penises. The good, the bad, and the dirty. Condoms are encouraged to be used as hand puppets for educational purposes. WTF? What kind of a rule is that? And also the name calling/nick names they agreed on as soon as she moved in didn’t sit right with me, I didn’t like them at all.Tucker is the DJ Hot Cock, Emma is the DJ Jazzy Nurse Tits. Then, they started talking about sex on a weekly basis and they creeped the hell out of me. An example:“I wonder what guys do to enhance the look of their penis. I mean. You can’t pump up your pelvis and look natural at the same time. We can lean forward and squish our boobs together and voilà, mega tits. But what is there for mega dick? Lifting your scrotum up to the air?”I guess this is supposed to be funny. Too bad because I didn’t laugh. Also, the readers are reminded crazy many times that the grown up man Tucker is something else, an irresistible hot guy as opposed to the boy Emma once knew when he was with Sadie. How can a guy change so much in 2 years, I have no idea.“Grown-up Tucker is one fine specimen.”Reading the above line so many times, I thought maybe 10 years passed and the writer wrote 2 years by mistake but no, she repeats it more than once. A year and a half, or nearly two years made all this difference in his looks. Pfft! Whatever... The more torturous thing starts when they start to feel an attraction towards each other. Emma nearly dies from lust every time she sees Tucker shirtless and practically begs him to f*ck her, but despite his attraction to Emma, Tucker is still caught up in his past, thinking about Sadie and what they have lost. This continues for a hell of a long time!!!Tucker feels attracted to Emma but he doesn’t start anything. He sometimes kisses or teases her with a few touches and that’s all. Read the following inner monologues of Emma, and decide if you would like this heroine, because I didn’t.Men are stupid and rude and teasers. They like to tease your fantasies but never really make them come true. I mean, would it really have hurt Tucker to pull my pants down and stick his dick in me just once? I’m not asking for a whole lot here. Just a little dick to vagina friction accompanied by an orgasm for the ages. I’ve officially lost my mind. I cross my arms over my chest just as I hear Tucker come down the stairs. Casually, as if he didn’t just blow my clit up to epic throbbing proportions, he walks in the kitchen, shirtless, wearing a pair of thin plaid pajama pants with his large hand ruffling through his hair.***Oh God, is this one of those questions where a guy asks you a question like, “How horny are you?” And they say, “Horny enough to eat my dick” while pelvic thrusting their jean-clad hammers in your face? Would Tucker ask me to eat his dick? Would I want to eat his dick? Why is relish popping up in my head from the thought of eating Tucker’s dick? Relish and celery salt, no, relish, celery salt, mustard and onions. Mmmm. ***“Wh-what do you want me to say?” She shivers. “That I like your man thigh? That your abs are unfair to look at because they’re so well defined? That those things,” she gestures to the V in my waist, “are like valleys headed straight to your penis? That I can clearly see the definition of your dick, including your meatus, and it’s . . . it’s . . .” She stumbles. “It’s thick.” She presses her hand against her forehead as her cheeks redden. “Oh God, you have thick dick.”I am sorry but with each inner monologue and silly dialogue like the ones above, I disliked her more. She was like a horny cat.Nope, she wasn't as cute, I promise! And, please read how Tucker feels and decide yourself if you would like to read about this kind of a hero, because I never liked what I read.“I haven’t been with anyone other than Sadie. She’s been it for me. You know that?” I gruffly clear my throat. “Until you walked back into my life.” I run my spare hand over my face, nerves tickling my spine. “This is new to me, Emma, being attracted to someone else, and I mean attracted enough where I think about you constantly. For so long, I’d just believed I would end up with Sadie, that we would have a family together, living in this house, growing old together. But I think we both know that’s not going to happen. No. We both know it’s not going to happen. So I have to switch gears and it’s been fucking hard. I need to learn to be okay with that, and I think I will.”***It’s not that I don’t want her, that couldn’t be further from the truth. But it’s hard, giving in to the desire coursing through me when thoughts of Sadie still lurk in the back of my mind, taunting me every goddamn day of my life with what could have been, the future we missed out on, the world we could have created just between the two of us. The world she didn’t want. Doesn’t want.***At times I wonder why I’m holding back. I just, whenever I go near her bedroom, I can’t help but look at the room opposite hers and think about what I lost. And I really don’t want to bring Emma into my bedroom when I still have Sadie on my mind; it wouldn’t be fair to her, but hasn’t prevented me from touching and kissing her every chance I get. But is that fair?***“I want her so bad, but I can’t seem to let the past go.”Emma practically begs for the two thirds of the book so that Tucker is OK with the idea of sleeping with her. He is whining about Sadie and the baby they lost all along the book. Towards the end of the book, when he feels he is going to lose Emma, he comes to his senses a little bit.But until Tucker made up his mind, we read about lines as the ones below that made me nauseous.I don’t even know what to do with him. He’s my friend and still caught up on Sadie. He’s also the man I can’t stop thinking about, the man that makes one move toward me, and my entire body lights up. And let’s not forget the man who told me, straight to my face, that there will be fucking between us. Fucking. Tucker Jameson. I mean . . . how do I even respond to that? What do I say? “Oh sure, yes, please tell me when the fucking will commence.” Do I sit back and wait, to see if it will ever happen? Or do I just decide one night to strip down to nothing, point at my crotch, and say, “Open for business.” Maybe I put an additional sign that says, “Tucker welcome here.”Emma’s whining and the way she describes how she needs him – the words she chooses - all of it is too annoying for me!And when they finally did it, this was Tucker’s first reaction in the morning:I’m stiff, confused, fucking terrified. I slept with another woman, a woman that wasn’t Sadie.I really wouldn’t prefer to start a relationship with a guy who is still mourning the loss of his last relationship and tell me I help him forget:“Having you in my arms, pressed into my body, it helped me forget.”Nope, I'd rather stay as friends until after he has stopped mourning about his ex.Look how pathetic Emma is while Tucker is trying to forget:He looks down at my chest, and the rapid rise and fall of it. His hands lift to my shirt where he starts to button up my shirt for me. I’m not even joking when I say my vagina starts to cry, my sensitive nipples as well, pretty much my entire body is weeping for the loss of hope, for the loss of what could have been one epic climax on the kitchen counter. I must not be good at hiding my disappointment because Tucker says, “Don’t look so sad, babe. It will happen.” Trying to be light about the heady situation surrounding us, I say, “No other guy teases like you. I swear to God, they would have given in by now.”Tucker tilts my chin up after he’s finished buttoning my shirt. “I’m not every like every other guy, Emma.”Tucker wraps his arms around me and presses his head against mine. “Don’t be salty.” I feel his erection press against me and I can’t help it when the words fly out of my mouth. “How can you say that when clearly you have a boner right now? How can I not be salty when you have pushed me way past sexually frustrated? Pretty sure my vagina is a nasty shade of blue by now, Tucker.”I wish they stayed as friends until Tucker was over Sadie. That was the part I disliked most. And I really felt like dropping the book every time Emma made some analogy like the one below:Looking between my eyes, Emma says, “Don’t forget, Tucker. I’m the one with the hot pocket; you just hold the pepperoni. You need my warmth way more than I need your meat.”Another rant of mine:I say this all the time in my reviews, and I am reiterating. Do some real men in real life constantly say that they have it big and thick, giving the exact measurements in inches? I am sick of reading guys who talk about how big their dicks are and I am sick of reading about girls who are gulping when they hear how big it is. “When we fuck, we’re going to do it in my bed, where I can spend hours tasting every inch of your body, where I can hear you moan my name with every climax, and where I can watch this beautiful face come apart when I’m buried nine inches deep inside of you.”Gulp. Nine inches. Oh God.***“Did anyone ever tell you you’re a cocky son of a bitch?” “Thick dicks are usually cocky, babe.” Ok, I think I made it clear that reading about Emma & Tucker was torturous for me. So, why didn’t I drop it? Well, I guess maybe because I wondered if he or she would come to their senses and also maybe because I wanted to rant here about it after finishing it...Finally, rant over! :)))P.S. My special thanks to the cover model Devin Paisley... Looking at his gorgeous face every now and then and imagining him eased my torture a little bit and 1 star of mine is for the cover model :)

“Best friend’s ex-boyfriends are always off limits.” I absolutely love Meghan Quinn, so when I found out she was releasing a new romcom I just had to get my hands on it ASAP. I always enjoy her humor, her fast paced plot and the characters she develops. I’m happy to report My Best Friend’s Ex was no exception. I was especially looking forward to reading something as controversial as falling for the best friends ex. OOOHHH… I think we all know this is a no go zone and ex’s are always off limits, so I couldn’t wait to find out what happens. Emma is a nursing student and is on a clinical placement when she receives a distressing phone call from her roommate, telling her she needs to come home straight away. When she gets there her roomie informs her of the unfortunate news that they are being evicted. And if that’s not bad enough, they have one week to find somewhere else to live. Emma is at a bar one evening with a couple of friends drowning her sorrows and stressing about the fact that she still hasn’t found a place to live and may be faced with the prospect of being homeless in the next couple of days…. Enter … a blast from the past… Emma sees an old friend from her hometown who also happens to be her best friend’s ex-boyfriend, Tucker. During this reunion, one of Emma’s friends lets slip about her predicament about finding a place to live in the next two days and on a whim Tucker offers his place to Emma. Tucker has not had the easiest times of late and has become somewhat of a recluse. He has a house that he despises. It was a house he built for himself and his ex-girlfriend to live together in. He was already thinking and preparing for starting a family and sharing a life together. Due to certain events and unforeseen circumstances he now lives there alone and everything about the house reminds him of what he once had and now has lost. Neither Emma nor Tucker could have predicted that their relationship would soon turn from friendship in to something so much more. I loved these characters and just could not get enough of them. Their attraction and chemistry towards each other was electrifying. Of course not everything is all smooth sailing and there are quite some hurdles for them to overcome. But I would expect nothing less, because I always love a great balance of laugh out loud moments, sizzling romance, emotion and drama. If you are a fan of well written stories with great characters who have so much charm and quick wit that will not only make you laugh embarrassingly while in public (yep this happened to me) but will seriously touch your heart and give you all the feels, then I definitely recommend this AMAZING friends to lovers story.

Another book that snags your curiosity and you can't stop reading till you get to the end of the book. This book, oh this book. You know what you're going into before you read it by the title alone. What you don't know is you are getting so much more. Tucker Jameson. He's the best friends ex. The hot, drop you dead ex. He's kind, he's sweet, he is funny, and he is so stuck in the past. I completely understand how he is devastated, anyone would be, but this guy CAN NOT move on for anything. Until......Emma Marks. She's the girl from Tucker's hometown. Grew up together. She's also Tucker's ex's best friend. One he hasn't seen for over a year. She beautiful, caring, always puts everyone else first before herself, looking out for you instead of her, she's funny, and boy has she changed throughout her college years. And she is instantly attracted to the unattainable and off limits Tucker. This book made me laugh so much, especially in the first half. The building of the story, the side stories, it was so good. All of it. It is so well written. The dynamic of Tucker & Emma's relationship is beautiful to watch as the author writes it out. I loved this story, I just feel the huge elephant in the room drug out way too long. My heart hurt for Emma, she was always feeling like a second choice. It pissed me off she wouldn't express her feelings, there is no relationship if you CAN NOT talk about your feelings no matter what they involve. But in the end, I overlook that because I love this couple. And dang, I hope we get more to this crazy insane group. Hint hint Racer... and Adalyn...❤️

<3 <3 RACER'S BOOK IS NOW AVAILABLE <3 <3 - - - > AVAILABLE - - > code: Never get involved with your best friend's ex-boyfriend. Emma Marks is quite aware of this rule, so when she has no other option but to move in with Tucker Jameson, she goes into the living arrangement as just a friend trying to finish up her nursing degree. Tucker has the same thoughts, Emma is just a friend. He has no intentions of getting romantically involved with her especially since he's still hung up on his ex, Sadie. It starts out as a renewal of an old friendship. Innocent touches, hugs here and there, and fun, flirty dinners together. A bond starts to form and before they know it, lines are crossed, sheets are tossed, and deep-rooted feelings are formed. Ex-boyfriends are off-limits, Emma knows this, but when love hits her square in the heart, she can't seem to turn away. The only problem is, is he ready to let go of his ex and be with Emma?

2.5 StarsLet me start by saying I had the highest of hopes going into this one. I've had great luck with the other Meghan Quinn books I've read so this seemed like the perfect Sunday book for me. That being said, I never really connected to the story or either of the main characters. I skipped around, read the ending and eventually went back and skimmed the middle to make sure I hadn't missed anything. That Meghan Quinn spark was missing for me and in the end, this simply wasn't my cuppa.

3 stars Meghan Quinn is a relatively new author to me. I've seen her at lots of author events, Big Apple, Love N Colorado, Love N Vegas, etc... so she's an author I've been meaning to read. When I saw this book was only $1.20 on Amazon, I snapped this baby up! And while I enjoyed it (remember peeps, I don't consider a 3 a negative rating!!) I think my sense of humor doesn't really mesh well with Quinn's. It's a little bit too much for me, I'm more of the sarcasm and one-liners kind of humor than in your face almost slap sticky.I really did enjoy this book, mostly the second half because it was hotter and angstier than the first half. I think lots of readers would love this book and the story, it's a good trope. I just wish we had seen more of the best friend, we only saw her at 48% and then a little bit near the end, we saw all of Emma's other friends more than the "best" friend. Many of my trusted book friends have told me to read Dear Life, and I think I will try that. This book was a lot of fun and that light read many readers are searching for. And I'm also glad I read a new to me author and broke outside of my comfort zone.Follow me on ♥ Facebook ♥ Blog ♥ Instagram ♥ Twitter ♥

Let's just jump into it, because subtlety has never been my strong suit. I'm about to get into some real talk right now, so bear with me. In your eyes, I may very well be wrong but this is MY opinion, and I standing by it, I really wish this wasn't marketed as a romantic comedy, I would've prefers if that aspect was taken out and just left alone. The beginning was perfect to me, the ending was perfect to me, but the middle at times was right effed up because of the heroine and her "humour" if that's what we're calling it. I cringed. I legit cringed, screenshotted an excerpt and sent it to the other blog girls because WTF. This chicks dialogue, monologues and thought processes were seriously weird. And she's suppose to be a nurse? You want us to out our body in her hands? No thanks. My biggest issue was that it came out of NOWHERE. She seemed so normal for the most part and then would just go off the rails. She was batty and immature like this and says weird stuff. I get that this is the authors signature but wow, it is so not my style, if this is the case I will be avoiding all other books. I just can't take this crap. Case in point, here's a nice little excerpt. I just can't handle stuff like this. It's forced, stupid and unnecessary. You lucky girl.” “No.” I shake my head. “Not lucky at all, because he’s my friend and he once belonged to my best friend, but all I want to do is rip his pants off, tap his penis and say, ‘I have a friend I want you to meet. It’s my vagina; want to have a play date?” Adalyn laughs so loud I think she might have rattled my windows. “Do you know how bad it is? How bad I want him?” “How bad is it?” “It’s so bad that I want to stick my pinky finger in his pee hole and say, ‘goochey goo, I want you.’ ”Taking out all humour, I really enjoyed the plot. I just wish that this could've been focused in a little more instead of the insanity. It had depth and sweetness and I could really see how the story between Emma and Tucker would develop. I loved the beginning and loved the end. The middle was even pretty damn good too, despite my humour issues. I will admit, that's the reason I've rated this as a 4 star read. "We shall convene at six. Bring your cooking pants."We got everything from lighthearted Tucker to seeing his turmoil, wondering if he's over the past and how to move on from it. He's so incredibly sweet and vulnerable when he wants to take things slow. And on the flip side, I love how Emma brought him back to life. At the same time, I liked how the plot goes into dealing with her insecurities as well, because these are the things that real people would be thinking about. "I don’t think I’m strong enough to wait around for him to love me.”Tucker is perfection personified. I'm talking book boyfriend material here, ladies. He's sweet. He's swoony. He's a big, muscular, good looking construction worker with an even bigger heart. He can make the heroine laugh and holds her when she cries. He breaks her out of her comfort zone and gives her a place to live. What's not to love? Even when he has a right be to mad, he surprises me in his reactions. Though there were times when I rolled my eyes at his dialogue from being something a man would NOT say, I tried to overlook that aspect because he was so amazing in every other way. Emma was a great characters too to go along with Tucker. I really enjoyed the fact that she was a nurse and portrayed as being the motherly, mature one. How growing up, up she would be the one to take care of everyone and always had a plan on how to make things better. She was great for Tucker's life and his situation and I loved watching them bring the best out in the other. I for the life of me cannot understand why she got super weird at times and I'm going to now stop mentioning it because the more I think about it, the angrier I get. “Hey, you’ve reached Tucker. If this is Emma, be patient, baby. I’ll be in touch soon. Until then, dream of me. If this is Racer, I swear I will tell everyone about your Taco Tuesday mishap if you give me shit for this message.”A lot of times it's the small stuff in a book that I notice. Details. Timelines. Things that not everyone might pay as much attention to. But in My Best Friends Ex, what caught my eye almost immediately was the physical attention each character gave to the other. Rubbing an arm, leaning into the other, resting your head on their shoulder, brushing fingers across a cheek or jaw, squeezing a shoulder. All of these little touches helps strengthen the connection and relationship. From a reader standpoint, it caused the relationship to feel more genuine and leave less room for any doubt. He pulls me in closer to his chest, his grip never loosening. “Uh, are we spooning right now?” “Yeah.” He’s so casual about it, as if all friends do this. “Got a problem with that, babe?” “Uh, no. Just wanted to make sure you knew what was happening.” “I’m well aware. It’s okay to spoon, Emma. Sometimes a human’s touch is all you need to heal wounds. We opened some wounds between us this past week, and I want to heal them.”*Le sigh* I'm still thinking about Tucker and how much I love him. To wrap this up, all I can say is this; I enjoyed this book, I really did. I had a twitching eye at some points, but enjoyed it nonetheless. If you're already a Meghan Quinn fan, I bet you'll love this book. Even if you've never read a MQ book, there's a good chance that you'll still love this book. If you enjoy quirky heroines with different humour (think Violet from Pucked by Helena Hunting but less consistent and more out there) then there's a good chance that you'll love this book. All in all, would I recommend it? Sure I would. But I'd ask about your sense of humour first.“We’re here,” Racer says, shaking a bottle of wine in my face. “Wine is from me.” Smalls smacks Racer on the back of the head. “Wine’s from me, asshat. Is that why you offered to carry it in?” “Of course.” Racer hands me the wine and then says, “We picked up this little lady in the driveway as well. I’m assuming she belongs to Emma, either that or we found a lurker and invited her to dinner.”*An ARC was received in exchange for n honest review.

This is my first read by Meghan Quinn, and it most definitely won't be my last! I was in the right mood for this story, and it made me smile, laugh out loud, and even swoon at times! This isn't the type of read that I am always in the mood for; but it was such a pleasant surprise for me.Emma is told by her roommate that they have been evicted from their place, and have two days to find a new one. It just so happens that she runs into an old friend from high school, and he offers for her to come live with him. Tucker and Emma have history....not of the romantic kind; but Emma's best friend had a very serious and long relationship with Tucker, that ended in tragedy. Tucker has never gotten over it, and when Emma looks into his eyes...she sees a man that is hurting deeply. She feels awful that she never checked up on him, and so she decides that she is going to try and make it up to him.The banter between these two, is hilarious! I have highlighted so many jokes, and funny situations on my Kindle. Not only between these two; but Tucker's friend, Racer is so damn funny too! OMG! I am impressed at how the author is able to come up with the one liners in this story!!! Even better is the fact that it isn't all just comedy...there is an emotional story in here as well, and let us not forget the sizzling sex that I like too!!! This read has it all! It is low in angst, and just a feel good type of book!If you are a reader who is looking for a reason to smile, give this book a go. Tucker is an sweetheart, and I dare you not to fall in love with him. For me, it was impossible! He was so sweet, protective, and loyal!! He has the whole package...oh, and I will say that he has 9 inches too....LOL ( Just sayin!!)Super glad I gave this one a chance, and I will for sure be checking out the back list of Meghan Quinn...she has talent that I can't ignore!

Find all of my reviews at: this point I’m THIRTEEN reviews behind and a bigly chunk of those left to be reviewed are romance novels . . . . Which loosely translated I’m pretty sure means fuck my life.Normally I try to keep myself motivated (especially when it comes to books of the porny/rom com varieties) by gif hunting simultaneously while reading. The only thing I found myself inspired to seek out while reading My Best Friend’s Ex was this one after the ever-so-popular “sexy boy haircut” was described . . . . (That’s fucking funny right there.)However, that ain’t sayin’ much when it comes to how this one impacted the ol’ sploosh factory. I’m going to start by saying I have no clue what the over/under is when it comes to how quickly romance writers churn out stories. All I know is my experience has been: (1) I find an author who already has eleventy-three published books and then I pester the porny librarian until she buys at least some of them for me since I am poor; (2) I score an ARC because I am a shameless whore when it comes to smut and also because of poor as above-mentioned; or (3) I find an author and fall in love with her series, spend some of my own dollars when the porny librarian tells me enough is enough (despite state of being poor as stated in 1 and 2) and have to wait infinity + 1 for the book I’m dying for to be released (IN CASE YOU CAN’T TELL, I’M LOOKING AT YOU HERE, PENNY REID!!). Unfortunately for Meghan Quinn, she’s kind of an exception to the rule in that I discovered her stuff right from the beginning. In 2017 Quinn has released all four books in this series and, for me, that is just . . . . Absence truly might make my fickle heart grow fonder. Now, in Quinn’s defense, she puts her stuff on sale A LOT and I only had to drop $1.20 on this one (thanks Rachel for the head’s up and also, I think everything is on Kindle Unlimited so it’s free to any of you who have that). I’m giving this one 3 Stars because it was perfectly okaaaaaaaay and a lot of the issues I had were probably mine alone since I’m an addict who can’t say no to authors I have grown to love. So let’s talk about my problems with this so you can confirm I read it wrong and go buy a copy for yourself, shall we?#1. Meghan Quinn and I obviously don’t see eye to eye when it comes to covers. And yes, I very much realize that I’m over here looking like this while being all judgey . . . . It is what it is. Give me a faceless dude with abs that could cut a diamond if you want me to hit the one-click without even knowing anything about the story/author. #2. Tropes that aren’t my cuppa. This one had a few of my not-so-faves – the “homeless so let’s be roommates” as well as the “broken and need a magic peen vagina to fix me” combined with the “not looking for a girlfriend” annnnnnnnd the title trope of hooking up with a friend’s former boyfriend. First of all, I’ve read the “need a place to stay” trope a time or twelve before and it can work fine for me if the reason for the homelessness is believable. When the story covers WHAT I FREAKING DO FOR A LIVING and is not accurate my brain becomes a giant asshole and spends the remainder of the book going . . . . Next, I can give a pass to the trope of a superbadawful happened that a person is having a hard time getting over. Buuuuuuuuut, the second I move into your house and you tell me I am not allowed to go into a certain room Imma wait ‘til you leave for work and be all like . . . . . I mean for real, you wouldn’t at least ask WTF was going on? What if it was a red room of pain *shudder*?????Then there’s the we’re just buddies, but let’s have these weird house rules where we have dinner together a whole bunch and have SEX TALKS at least once a week. Nobody does that . . . . Which leads to the getting together with your supposed bestie’s high school sweetheart who not only was someone you always had the impression was not the greatest dude in the world, but who you didn’t even have the courtesy of talking to your friend about before you started thinking about how much you wanted to shove your tongue down his throat. Maybe I’m old fashioned, but whatever happened to . . . . Allllllllll that being bitched and whined about, I still highly recommend Meghan Quinn. The Mother Road and The Virgin Romance Novelist were both laugh-out-loud funny and the entire “Stroked” series was good – especially Stroked Hard.

I so love this book. Now to do the review justice. That will be tough. I am in love with Tucker! Be forewarned! And I already know it is one of my faves so far this year... Hitting my Best Of tag! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I thought this was going to be another run of the mill contemporary romance, which I do enjoy reading. However, the story so much more than that. Meghan Quinn completely had me so emotionally involved and engrossed in the story that I just did not want it to end. There are so many emotions that you feel with this book. Tucker, god, Tucker was a dreamboat. Confused, conflicted, but so ready for love - both to give and take.Emma was a perfect match for him. The interactions with her friends and with him is wonderful. The raunchy talk was hilarious and the interactions with Tucker were beautifully written and smoking hot.And the supporting characters are great. Racer is funny and I'm sure we're going to see him in another book. At least I hope so!This is the first book I have read by this author that I can remember - I don't know how that can be, but it is NOT the last! Just loved this one!

4.5 starsREALLY good! I gave the first one a miss but apparently the main characters in this book were 'extras' in that one. Complete standalone as you get a quick re-hash as to why Tucker becomes the way he is. Slow burn at its best and the author does an amazing job with the writing, pacing and emotions. Sex scenes were super hot and that bit at the end just made my heart melt. May not be for everyone, as the hero deals with losing the love of his life prior to meeting the heroine. But i think he made it up to her at the end. LOTS of feels, LOTS of heat and i loved their relationship.A definite recommendation, especially if you love Meghan Quinn's work

3.5 starsAfter reading Co-Wrecker by Meghan Quinn, which I adored (my review can be found here), I couldn't wait to read her next book.I really liked her style of writing. Her quick witted dialogues, fast paced plots, and wonderful characters.Tucker Jameson and Emma Marks were no strangers to me. Both were supporting characters in Co-Wrecker. Emma was the best friend and Tucker the boyfriend that was left behind after the breakup. Honestly, when I realized what the storyline was about and that Tucker was going to be the hero, I wasn't sure how I would feel about it. He went through a traumatic event with Sadie and after the breakup I had the feeling he was collateral damage. Sadie moved on and Tucker stopped living. In My Best Friend's Ex he still had a hard time letting go of the past. It felt like he took all of his emotions and his true self, locked it away and threw away the key. He put on a show, but stopped living a long time ago. He went to work and slept, and that on repeat. I truly felt for him. What he went through I wouldn't wish on anyone, but the way he dealt with it didn't help with enamoring him towards me.I didn't particular connect with Emma either. Some of her actions didn't sit well with me. Even so they've been friends for a long time, I thought they were more acquaintances than friends. Of course living together changed that very quickly, I still didn't feel the chemistry or attraction that was described.I was definitely bummed that My Best Friend's Ex didn't work for me the same way Co-Wrecker did.But all in all, My Best Friend's Ex had it's cute and funny moments, and Tucker would have been an amazing and hot character - I swoon over guys that do physical labor, they are just so yummy and down to earth - except for his tendency to keep things locked up - like a fault.Otherwise Meghan Quinn did a fabulous job in writing a quick and fast paced novel. And since I really like her writing style I'm definitely looking forward reading more by her.For more of my reviews:My Blog: Happily Ever AfterFacebook Blog PageTwitterSubscribe to Blog

I loved this book!I love this author! No time to write a worthy review...*sigh*I got this free from kindle-unlimited, but I'm definitely going to buy this book, because it is a keeper for me.I started out reading Co-Wrecker by this author, and this book is a sort of continuation of that one, since the H/h were introduced in that book. Since I enjoyed that one so much, I decided to pick up this one.And oh my, did I love this friends-to-lovers story.I loved both the hero (Tucker) and heroine (Emma). They've known each other since middle school, hung out with the same crowd, and were friends. Tucker had a long-time girlfriend (Sadie--who is Emma's best friend), and experienced a lot of emotional highs and lows with her. Emma was always the responsible, mature one of their crowd. Emma's in her last year of college, studying to become a nurse. Tucker is making great strides in his profession (construction) and already owns his own house. He's getting over his recent break up with Sadie, and when Emma suddenly finds herself without a place to live, he invites her to stay with him. Oh my...that's where things slowly take off...If you're looking for some fabulous story-telling, characters to fall in love with, and enough heat to scorch your fingers as you turn the pages (and some humor and some tears), then read this book!Trust me, it's a winner!5 big stars!!!

***AVAILABLE NOW - FULL REVIEW***5 Bazillion CrownsMeghan Quinn cannot write a bad romantic comedy! I swear every time I think this one is my favorite, she releases a new one and I'm blown away yet again!I'm so happy that Tucker got his HEA, and that readers got to see a different side of him. This caring and considerate man with a heart of gold won me over from the very beginning. Even with the past weighing him down, he still finds happiness among his friends and Emma, and readers will love watching him work through his issues and become a man that chases after what and who makes him happy. Plus, his swoon factor is off the charts, making him my favorite Meghan Quinn hero (So sorry Andrew and Adam! It's been fun!).Emma. I just adore her. She has the off best sense of humor, and readers will enjoy seeing college Emma versus at-home Emma they met in Co-Wrecker. She is a little more carefree, living life. She also is incredibly brave. She takes an incredible risk with her heart in this novel, and readers will desperately want it to pay off because these two are so great together.Meghan Quinn also introduces some new characters, Racer and Smalls, who I love (desperately hoping they get books, particularly Racer), and Adalyn and Lucas. Plus, readers who have enjoy Co-Wrecker (you do not need to read it to enjoy this one) will love the return of Sadie and Andrew. All these secondary characters did is make me want more!! I'm not ready to leave this world, and it is solely because of this cast of lovable characters she has created. The pacing of My Best Friend's Ex is perfect! It gives the reader enough time to like these characters individually, watch them reconnect as friends, root for them to succumb to their desires, and fall in love with them as they fall in love with each other. Meghan Quinn does an amazing job balancing the healing of the past that is required with living in the present and planning for the future, and that epilogue killed me. I was a melted pile of goo on the floor. Tucker absolutely nails it the last couple of chapters!Meghan Quinn is a romantic comedy genius! Her stories make me laugh-out-loud so hard I cry and make me a swoony mess. I love that her stories are unique, and I adore her off-beat sense of humor. This book only solidifies why she is a one-click author for me, and exemplifies why she should be for you.---------------ARC received in exchange for an honest review. For more reviews and other books news, check out Musings of the Modern Belle at

My Best Friend’s Ex by Meghan Quinn5 stars!!!“Sometimes a human’s touch is all you need to heal wounds.”My love affair with Meghan Quinn began with a rom-com and she totally stole my heart with My Best Friend’s Ex. This week has been unusual for me because I have two new entries into my all-time favourite couples list and Meghan Quinn firmly planted Tucker and Emma as one of them. These two captured my heart whole-heartedly and never let go. It is unusual to get such a deep and intense character connection but these two wormed their way into my heart and soul and will remain there for eternity. We all know “girl code,” thou shalt not covet thy best friend’s cast offs,” or something like that, so I was intrigued as to how this scenario was going to play out. But once this story began to unfold I couldn’t give a shit about the ex, so I had no qualms in these two bumping uglies and in my opinion, the sooner it happened, the better..“You were so wrapped up in Sadie, you had no idea how many hearts you were breaking with every kiss you gave her. You were the boy, Tucker. Every girl wanted you to look their way, to give them a second of your time, to…to be swept up in your world.”Emma was in her final year of university to become a registered nurse. Emma was up to her eyes in classes, finals, clinicals and always had her nose in a book. Emma’s world comes screeching to a halt when she finds an eviction notice on her door and she suddenly finds herself homeless in a week. Finding a home is a hopeless task until one night her paths cross with Tucker, someone she hadn’t seen for years.“…those words you uttered are out there in the universe, sitting there like a giant purple set of man balls, unshaven in the room. This isn’t pink-elephant-in-the-room status. We’re talking nasty, uneven, purple, hairy man balls, tickling you under the chin with its pubes. It’s there, exposed, reminding you every day of the one sentence you should have kept to yourself.”Tucker was a construction supervisor and his life is full of dark. Tucker works and sleeps and lives the life of a recluse, that is the sum total of his life. His past continues to haunt him and the tethers to his ex and what they should have had keeps him firmly planted in the past. Tucker is a man drowning in a deep vat of depression and shows no sign of making a run for survival. My heart decimated for Tucker, he was such an adorable, honest and real character, his pain was my pain and my tears solidly fell for him so many times.“You have taught me about perseverance, about the strength a human possesses, and that despite your upbringings and influences, you rose above it all and became the most beautifully broken man I’ve ever met.”These two meeting was fate; Emma’s outgoing personality was the light that Tucker needed to make him see the wood for the trees. Emma’s personality was infectious and I loved the way that Meghan Quinn slowly infected Tucker with the “Emma effect.” “And for your information, it’s polite to keep your condoms in your nightstand, not the medicine cabinet, unless you want me to start tossing my tampons around like fireworks, popping them in your face. Is that what you want, Tucker? Tampon fireworks? Because don’t test me, I will make it happen. I will make it rain period products…Feminine hygiene will be your worst nightmare, son!”Tucker’s journey in this book was stunning and as more and more of the real Tucker is revealed you cannot help but fall hopelessly in love with him. Tucker was a man wise before his years, he had to grow up quick and had made all the right moves to do so, but sometimes life throws you for a loop and this was an endless loop that desperately needed to be broken. “I knew you were gorgeous, Emma, but fuck me, you naked makes me want to worship every inch of your body…Combine that with your heart and your mind? I’m drowning in desperation for you.”This was the epitome of the slow burn and I savoured every single minute of it. From friendship to blurry lines to conscience and more, Meghan Quinn captured this love story with realism, intensity and a huge dose of honest to goodness romance that had my heart beating a mile a minute. The anticipation was palpable as was the intense chemistry. The banter and dialogue was on point and as ever, Meghan Quinn’s hilarious personality shone through like a beacon. There was nothing I did not like in this book and my attention was rapt throughout. From the edge of my seat, willing these two to get it on my heart was beating a mile a minute and if any two-people deserved a happy ever after it was them.“From one kiss, I can tell if the man I’m with locking lips with is worth the effort, if there’s hope for a future between us. The first time Tucker kissed me, I knew I was doomed. But now? I know I’ll be ruined for life.”The side characters in this book really added value and I love that Meghan Quinn always delivers them with ease. I had so many laugh out loud moments, spit your tea out moments and this is the side of Meghan Quinn that I cherish. My Best Friend’s Ex has definitely earned its place as one of my top reads of 2017 and this will definitely be a book that I could re-read time and time again when I need a good dose of rom-com. Another fantastic book from Meghan Quinn.“I’m DJ Hot Cock, a fucking lucky bastard, ready to make music with my DJ Jazzy Nurse Tits. Forever.”

OMG! You guys!!! I just finished reading one of the FUNNIEST books EVAH!!! I don't know how she does it, but Author Meghan Quinn has OUTDONE herself yet again! These characters were just EVERYTHING!!! I adored the hell out of them, and I wanted to dive into the book and live in their world! I laughed. I cried. I just NEVER wanted it to end! Get ready to FALL HARD for Emma and Tucker!!!"I want her for all the wrong reasons, and yet, I can't help but think how right she feels."What a sticky situation this is. Falling hard for your best friend's ex-boyfriend...what a pickle! I can't even imagine. But no matter how tight you are with your best friend, I imagine it's pretty difficult to stay away from the charms of one Tucker Jameson. He's sweet, gorgeous, and oh so swoony. What's not to love?! But it's girl code right? Add the fact that you are now roommates and he is far from being over his ex...what's a girl to do? "I want him to alter my life. Does he want me to alter his?"Oh all the laughs and all the feels I got from reading this romantic masterpiece! Emma and Tucker were just adorable together from the very beginning. Emma has major feelings for Tucker, but she was conflicted because of her loyalty to her friend. But when they are pushed together as roommates, and they start spending more time together, Emma and Tucker's bond starts to morph into something pretty substantial. It's a slow-burning connection that just makes her heart skip a beat. "I'm drowning in desperation for you."Everything about this romance pushed the right buttons for me. There was plenty of laugh out loud moments, a good amount of angst to keep you on your toes, and an emotional connection with the characters that dug deep into your heart. This was an easy pick to add to my favorites list for the year. There is just such sense of joy when I'm reading a Meghan Quinn romance. It's a sense of contentment that is not always easy to find in this genre. I'm absolutely LOVING this world that Ms. Quinn is writing in. We first were introduced to some of these characters in her other amazing romance, CO-WRECKER, and there is so much potential for more. I can't wait to see what this author brings us next. If you want a sexy, laugh-out-loud romance with all the feels, pick up a Meghan Quinn romance today! You will be SO SO SO glad you did!

I get so lost in Meghan Quinn’s books, I start reading an poof 4 hours have passed by; there is something so refreshing about an author who laces her romances with humor so that the story doesn’t get bogged down in the pain and anguish the characters go through. I love that she puts her characters through the paces and since she writes in duo first person, we know everything the characters are thinking and feeling throughout the book. My Best Friend’s Ex is a complicated friends to lovers romantic comedy that was funny, sentimental, sweet, sexy, and impossible to put down.Emma Marks is in her final semester as a nursing student and looking forward to graduation, a real job, and getting back to enjoying life, not that she hasn’t enjoyed school or the great friends she’s made in Logan and her roommate Adalyn. Being evicted through no fault of her own throws a big time monkey wrench in her life, but running into her best friend’s ex, Tucker Jameson, has him offering her a place to stay.A year ago Tucker Jameson’s life was great; he was secure in his job, he had a girl he’d loved most of his life, and a baby on the way and even though the baby was a surprise, he was excited and ready to be a great dad. A miscarriage lost his the baby and the woman he loved and even though his ex has moved on, he can’t seem to put everything behind him. Living a pretty solitary life, he surprises himself when he offers to let his ex’s best friend move into the house he bought intending on it being for his family. As soon as he asks her he begins to think he’s crazy, but the more time Emma is in his home, the more time he wants her there permanently, but Tucker’s wounds run deep and figuring out is he’s truly ready to move on may cost him his friend and the woman who brought light back into his life. The sparks coming off these two were intense from early in this book and yet, it took a good, long time for them to act on their attraction. I loved the slow burn and watching them both unravel each other sometimes when they didn’t even realize they were doing so. It was evident that Tucker was having a hard time dealing with the loss of the baby, his girlfriend leaving him and her moving on to another guy and I think it said a lot about Emma’s character that she understood that and wanted to be his friend and bring some joy back into his life. A natural born caretaker, Emma feels bad that Tucker was pretty much abandoned by their core group of friends after their break-up, but thankful he had good friends he works with to help him through the worst of it. Knowing each other for so long the know a lot about one another, so it was fun watching them begin to realize they were seeing the other in a different light, a sexual one, and while it freaked them both out a little bit, there was also no denying the attraction between them.Ms. Quinn has a knack for writing supporting characters that add so much life and flavor to a book, and in this story she gives us Racer and Tiny, two men who work with Tucker. While we don’t see as much of Tiny he does intrigue me and Racer was not only great comic relief, but as it turns out has quite a romantic streak in him. I’m really hoping we see them both again in future books as well as Emma’s friends Logan and Adalyn. While as times messy and emotional, My Best Friend’s Ex was laced with humor, intense sexy times, and a whole lot of heart and I loved every Little Debbie moment of it.Review copy provided for a voluntary review.

When you say Meghan Quinn, you cannot help but devour her works. She has this ability to draw you into everything she writes up to the point where you'll be obsessed with it, addicted and even begging for more. You cannot help it. She's got magic in her hands and a brilliant mind that can weave a story you'll get hooked and fall in love with. And this was what happened to me with My Best Friend's Ex. I have been obsessing with this book way before I even had the chance to read it. So when I did, I dug on it hungrily and I'm loving every second I have with Tucker and Emma's journey.Cover and blurb wise, hands down! It's just the perfect combination that will piqued any reader's interest. Aside form the fact that Meghan is my go to author, this was what actually heightened my will to read the book. When I started reading it, words written just flowed flawlessly that I have no doubt in mind I'll be having a blast. And BLAST I did have. Tucker and Emma's story is one I fell in love HARD. Both these characters were easy to love. It's not surprising though. Tucker was mentioned in Meghan Quinn's Co-Wrecker and although I had a love-hate relationship with the guy I could not deny the fact that he made my journey in Co-Wrecker most heart breaking. (Just so you know, I re-read that book because well - Tucker). I did cry over this man so hard my heart was in knots. And to my surprise? HE.IS.THIS.TUCKER in this book I fell in love BIG TIME. Holee-WOW! Unfreaking-believable!!! Talk about Meghan Quinn and his brilliant mind. I never saw it coming --- for REAL. Him and Emma's chemistry was off the charts! I love the nature of their friendship and I love how this man's wall crumbled because of this silent, nurturing yet sassy, full of life and heart woman - Emma. These two were just match made in heaven and I love that I connected with them easily what with their banters, bickering, swoony moments and even their inner voices. And what's more? With their journey came loads and loads of tension and a tease from Meghan. Lordy! The anticipation was just so effing real I was on the edge! But, above all the very main reason of my big love of this book is the growth of both the leads and the support and love from friends. It was so alive and it gave me all the feels. In the end, I did not just enjoy my journey with the. I love it too and I highly recommend it. It may not be as funny as Meghan's previous works but this book got full of HEART and FEELS.That fun times coupled with angst, wit and humor it was heaven for me that I could not express the emotions I had with this book. It was really so good and my journey with them was one of the beautiful rides I ever had. I may have pained from Tucker's past yet I was elated and glad that with their journey, not just Emma found a home. They both did - in each other. As always, great job Meghan Quinn. I am so excited what you're in store for us next.

**4.25 'Rules' Stars*****The kiss. How can I even describe it? It’s the defining moment of any new beginning.***Such a funny read. This was a phenomenal read.I laughed so much with these characters and had so much fun!The book was perfectly written and the characters were well drawn.Tucker and Emma's relationship was so natural it had me all dreamy.I decided to read this one mainly because of the SHH EVENT and I made the right call!Even before starting the book I was all giddy and I continued that way after finishing as well.***And the mature award goes to me, the girl with the morning hair and ragey eyes..***In this book Emma finds herself in need of a house to live and fate decided to bring Tucker back into her life. You see Tucker wasn't a regular guy. He wasn't just the guy she grew up with. He wasn't just the guy all girls wanted to date.He was her Best Friend's Ex.Emma was such a lovable heroine. She had the righ amount of strength, sass and fragility.Tucker was not only hot but kind. However, there were moments I really wanted to slap him!!Overall it was a great funny read. I will definetly re-read this one!

ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest reviewIt’s no secret that I adore Meghan Quinn. This author can have you laughing like a fool and at the same time swooning over for your next book boyfriend. And so in her latest, romantic comedy, My Best Friend’s Ex, Meghan has readers like myself going gaga over Tucker and Emma. If you read Co-Wrecker, then you are all familiar with what happened with Tucker and his ex, Sadie and so now it’s time for this heartbroken guy to get his happily ever after. Emma Marks is in her final year of nursing school and everything should be a breeze but she runs into major problem. She’s homeless and needs a place to stay badly. Call it luck or fate, her childhood friend Tucker Jameson has an extra room in his house. Problem solved. Right? Well, Tucker happens to be her best friend’s ex and so you can imagine all the sexual tension and chemistry that begins to brew upon them when Tucker and Emma blur the lines of roommates and friends as they begin to start having feelings one another. Will Tucker be able to get over Sadie now that he has fallen in love with Emma?My Best Friend’s Ex was definitely one of those books that you devoured in one sitting. It was funny, witty, sexy, emotional, and had that romantic charm element. While, there were some moments that I felt were over the top, it didn’t detract me from enjoying the book as I got to see Tucker and Emma’s friendship turned into something more. So if you looking for a book that had humor, banter, sexual tension and love then I suggest you give this book a try. Meghan Quinn

Title: My Best Friend’s ExAuthor: Meghan QuinnGenre: Romantic ComedyPublication Date: June 1, 2017Cliff Hanger: No4 Stars*This story is for mature audiences only. Contains explicit scenes and language intended for adults 18+Synopsis: When I found an eviction notice taped on my apartment door, I had two options: find a comfortable cardboard box to call home, or move in with Tucker Jameson. At least that's what my brain is telling me, my heart is speaking an entirely different language. My Thoughts:This is the first time I have read one of this author’s books and I am so hooked! I loved everything about this crazy fun read!I laughed so much! When Emily goes on one of her rants, it’s so hilarious. The things she comes up with and her quick wit is so awesome. I have to tell you that there is more to this book then just the fun banter and outrageous fun. The slow burn and tease of this couple is delicious and also heartbreaking. There is so much baggage between the two of them that it tugged at my heart and made me so sad for them. I wanted them to just let go! The secondary characters are an awesome supporting cast and are as equally hilarious and endearing!I don’t want to tell you anything more about this wonderful sexy, heartwarming, hilarious and engaging book. You really need to experience it for yourself. I caution you not to be drinking carbonated beverages while reading this book as said beverage hurts when snorted while reading this great read!ARC kindly provided by the author and Wordsmith Publicity for an honest review.

“She doesn’t need to protect her heart from me. She holds mine in her hands, and I’ll never take it back.”When I first saw the title for Meghan Quinn’s newest release, I was a little on the fence about actually picking it because I’m not a big fan of the “dating my best friend’s ex” trope. It’s honestly just a personal preference because the one’s I’ve read in the past have been over the top and I just couldn’t deal with it. But it’s Meghan Quinn so I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and hoped she wouldn’t let me down. After being evicted from her apartment, Emma Marks is forced to find a new home immediately. When she runs into an old childhood friend and tells him about her troubles, he offers her a place to stay. With no other options in sight, she takes Tucker Jameson up on his offer. But the last thing Emma expected was to start falling for her old childhood friend because he’s more than just a friend: he’s her best friend’s ex.I had so many hesitations when it came to this book, but a blogger friend of mine informed me that this was Tucker Jameson’s book and all those hesitations flew out the window. We first met Tucker in Co-Wrecker and after all the losses he had to deal with in that book, I was excited to see him get his happily-ever-after. To be honest, I was not a big fan of Tucker in Co-Wrecker, but after hearing his side of the story, I totally understand why he acted out in the way that he did. He was in mourning so I can’t really fault him for some of the things he did. I also loved that the dramatics were not overkill and that Sadie and Tucker finally got some closure and resolved their issues. Also, the secondary characters are my faves, even Logan who was annoying at first but the guy totally had me fooled into thinking he was an ass but he’s not.I freakin’ love Emma and Tucker. I enjoyed seeing Emma come out of her shell and be carefree. She is usually the “mom” among the group, so she’s always taking care of everyone else and making sure they’re okay before she let’s herself enjoy anything. I loved this side of Emma and how unfiltered she could be at times. And then there’s Tucker. TUCKER.FUCKING.JAMESON. Be still my heart! Tucker is so sweet, I wasn’t expecting that. I love how affectionate he was with Emma and the angst had me dying. I KEPT SCREAMING JUST KISS ALREADY! I’m so happy I gave this book a chance and I can’t wait for Racer’s book. I know Meghan is just gonna have me swooning after I get to know more about him.

Release Date:June 1, 2017 Genre:Friends to Lovers. Romantic Comedy. Aww! This book gave me so many feels! And it's laugh out loud (giggle snort) funny. Gah! I adored every minute of it. Romance readers- if your looking for a book that will make you laugh and a book that will completely touch your heart this is the book you need! I promise, you will not be disappointed. In fact, if you're new to the author, I think you will become addicted to her novels based on this one. It's just to good not to read. How Meghan comes up with these things I do not know. But what I do know is that she can turn these sarcastic and funny characters into real human beings who go through some tough things in life. So be warned, while there are quite a few moments where you're laughing so hard that you pee a little, there are just as many strong and emotional moments that will consume your heart. These are the exact reasons why Meghan Quinn is my favorite author. And yes, I devour every single book she publishes. I don't care what the cover is or what the blurb may say- I'll dive in blind and always know that she will bring something unique to the table.- So clearly, I highly recommend this one. It's a top 10 favorite of the year and I have a serious woman crush on Emma. Tucker, the hero, is great too (I love him to pieces and feel like the cover does a fantastic job representing who I would think of when reading), and I know many readers will have a serious crush on him as well. Can I have the both??? With that, this is a beautifully funny friends to lovers romance. If you have read Co-Wrecker you might notice that Tucker is THE Tucker that used to be with Sadie. (If you haven't, don't fear, you don't need to read it in order to understand this on). Now, because I have read Co-Wrecker, I found it to be quite amazing to see Tucker in his own element, especially after all the heart break he faced earlier in life. So what to me was a pleasant surprise because I wasn't expecting this to be HIS story. Tucker starts off as a brooding man with little excitement for life. So when an old friend walks back in his life and ultimately needs a place to stay because she is being evicted, he agrees. But, neither expect that an old friendship can turn into a love story. Of course, there are a few hurdles to jump over before any type of HEA can take place, but when it gets there... Your heart will soar. Does this sounds good to you? I hope so! Because I couldn't recommend this book more! It's exactly what I needed in a book and everything I hoped for. Highly (very highly) recommended! My Top 5 Favorite Meghan Quinn Books (Although I do truly love them all)1. The Virgin Romance Novelist2. The Randy Romance Novelist3. The Mother Road4. Dear Life5. Stroked(okay, make it 6)6. Co-Wrecker
