Loved this book!It is really quite hard to believe that this author is not one to have loads of books under her name, as the writing is done very well and the story flows rather effortlessly. In any case, I was very pleased to have run into her work and had the opportunity to check this read out. I loved the blurb and felt very pulled in by the triangle in the relationship. We all love them, at least in some part. There is just something about your best mate fighting for you, in all aspects of your life. That is exactly what happens here. Her mate has always been there for her, and is a great person overall. However, what is one to do when their heart and mind start clashing, especially when that clash involves an associate and mate? I found it intriguing, in the blurb, and was even more pulled in by it all, as I got to know Cara and Teddy. I liked how the author was able to show the progression of both their lives and friendships, to really solidify that the two come hand in hand and really couldn't live without each other. This is what led me to love them both, and I almost found an instant dislike of Sam, no matter what kind of person he was, just because I liked the though of the two of them in their little cocoon. A lot of time a detail was put into building this friendship and the detail and personalities of the characters, really making them fantastic and the story, overall, very easy to connect with. The author did a wonderful job making the triangle very interesting. It wasn't full of 'woe is me' or one striving for attention all the time. Instead, all of the actions and decisions were very realistic, especially as some of them were poor and doomed to fail, as does life, but just like life there were lots of big and little victories. Overall, this was just a wonderful and exciting read. The tension between them all and the need to be together really had me hooked and kept me completely tied in, until the final page. Fantastic read. I really look forward to seeing more from this author. **I received this book for free and voluntarily provided my honest and unbiased opinion.

Dramatic, sexy, fun; are just the few terms used to describe Angles. Being a person who loves a good love story, Angles was a well-written and developed story! The chemistry between Sam and Cara was like "lighting the fires" of something real and passionate, and that couldn't be denied once witnessed. Yet, as much as I loved reading the story, it frustrated the hell out of me-which is why I gave it a solid four-star rating. The author did a fantastic job at conveying the wayward emotions of different types of love that can be expressed toward a person. While reading, I simply couldn't help to adopt the stirring emotions throughout it. For example I was rooting for Sam, wanted Cara to make up her mind, just simply hated Jason, was completely enraged at Teddy, and applaud Anna who had the nerve to say what I was thinking the moment I had a quarter into the book read. With that being said, Angles was a great Chick-lit story that had well-developed characters which moved the story along perfectly to a happy, warm-hearted conclusion. I really liked it! It's an easy read that you can get into and become empathic to each character's perspective.

Angles A Love StoryBy Erin LockwoodWhen Sam first sees Cara, Sam's world is turned upside down. He is mesmerized by Cara's charm. Unable to speak with her, Sam does everything in his power to force a meeting with her. When Cara senses someone is watching her, her eyes drift to the powerful blue ones of Sam. One look and she's hooked. But can these two strangers overcome the obstacles in their lives to make this connection work?"Every part of him is dark and smoky, except his eyes. His eyes are so bright, turquoise blue, they’re like headlights shining at me. A lighthouse warning me not to come too close or my boat will crash."This is Erin's first novel, and I had the pleasure of reading this book! Erin put her heart and soul into Angles and it shows! Filled with heat, drama, twists and turns, Angles is worth the read! Tara ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow! Wow! Wow! I totally loved this book! It was the perfect afternoon read. And yes – I meant that as singular as I did indeed read this book in just one afternoon sitting lol. I could not put it down! I was held captive from the first page to the very last page. Not many books can do that and I am very surprised to find that this was Mrs. Lockwood’s first book as the writing was truly superb! Further proof U of O has an excellent journalism program lol! This book was such a fun, exciting, intriguing, fascinating read that took you on a real life love story. Even though this book is a contemporary romance book – it is no cookie cutter love story. This love story is messy, honest, realistic, and relatable. This book follows Caralee and her friends on an interweaving web of love, life, friendships, understanding, vulnerability, and growing up.Caralee meets Sam. He is sexy, handsome, mysterious and a total gentleman. There is one problem though – Jason, Caralee’s boyfriend. Teddy is Caralee’s best friend. He is recently married to Anne. There is one problem though – he’s in love with Caralee. This book is not your average love story triangle – there are multiple angles involved! This book is full of drama, love, excitement, and is just down right entertaining! The main and supporting characters were likable, relatable, and well described. The writing style is fluid, well developed, and at a steady pace. There are twists and turns and unexpected moments. I would absolutely recommend this book as it was such a fun, exciting, intriguing, fascinating read! 3.75 stars“Angles: Part 1” by Erin Lockwood is a spicy contemporary tale that follows Cara as her relationships are shifting, thanks to the upcoming marriage of her best friend Teddy. Her bond with Teddy, cemented during a horrific experience, is destined to change, but her relationship with their mutual friends as well as with the guy she is currently dating is also affected, particularly after she meets the forceful and somewhat mysterious Sam. Only time will tell whether things are going to work out for the better. There are intriguing elements to this story that certainly is composed of relationships that form triangles and quadrangles and…well, you get the picture. I was a little disconcerted because it’s told in first person…and the only time we get a different voice is at the beginning, and that initial introduction of Sam was definitely not a warm fuzzy one. Cara is what I would call a hot mess, and although I can understand the mitigating factor that causes her to be emotionally fragile, I still gnash my teeth at her compliant nature that makes her anxious to acquiesce to a strong dominant man who wants to order for her and tell her what to do—at least, until she’s no longer comfortable with that and wants to run. I have trouble understanding her deliberate obtuseness about her allure, which naturally eventually earns her the enmity of some of those around her, not to mention her symbiotic relationship with Teddy, who is a very optimistic man if he thinks he’s really going to balance the two women in his life. Despite all that, I have to say that the author does a great job of evoking that helpless naivete and dearth of coping skills in her heroine. I imagine this story will appeal to fans of the angsty new adult tale but be forewarned that this truly is part 1, so there are plenty of unfinished…dare I say it…angles!A copy of this title was provided to me for review

At first I wasn’t to sure about this book but I heard so many good reviews and a friend told me to check this book out. So once I saw it go on tour I thought I give this a try. Little did I know I absolutely loved this book it was so good. The Author had a wonderful writing style that was just so hard to put down and I was glued to the story and I read this in one day. I think I found another author I am going to fall in love with her books. Looking forward to reading more for sure. From the first page to the last page there was a bunch of drama, romance and action that just kept me reading and wanting more. The characters had a great development and you could feel the tension between them. Overall I really enjoyed this story and would recommend this book to Contemporary Romance readers. You will not be disappointed. Thanks for a great book. Looking forward to reading more. I received an ARC of this book for free to give my honest opinion.

This was a really nice, interesting story and I was pleased to have taken the chance on purchasing it. The story is really well-written and easy-to-read, and the descriptive passage is excellent, so you really feel like you can see the characters and settings in your mind as you read. I liked how the novel is told from the perspective of the main character, through their eyes, as I find this writing style really helps you to get to know the characters well, and gives the storyline a sense of depth and emotion. The story is a romance, drama novel, and is perfect for readers who love well-written women’s literature that can easily be read over a weekend or while on vacation. I highly recommend this novel, and I am definitely interested in reading more of this author’s work.

If you're looking for the book to take on your next vacation, this is the one. It was a smooth, easy read - in the best possible way - and reminded me of Emily Giffin or Sophie Kinsella's writing in the world of chick lit. My adrenaline was pumping during the more suspenseful scenes, and my interest was more than piqued during the steamy tension that author Erin Lockwood crafted between characters Caralee and Sam. I had a tough time putting Angles down, and am already looking forward to Part II.

Intertwined LoveWhat an amazing debut novel! This story was very well written, I was pulled in from the very beginning and cannot wait for more from Erin. I want to hear more about the twists and turns between Cara, Sam and Teddy! The ongoing feud between Sam and Teddy pulls you in. It's obvious that Sam and Cara have an intensely strong bond, but can the friendship between Teddy and Cara withstand her new relationship with Sam. I'm excitedly waiting for book 2 and hoping it won't take too long to be published! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Xpress Book Tours in exchange for an honest blog tour review.

Oh boy. The cover, not so good. The story, interesting, intriguing, and a situation I would hate to be in. This is a plot that you don't read about a lot. On one side, you have a best friend that is fighting for you; so you have the friendship you can depend on. One the other side, there's a third party and minds and hearts begin to crash and clash and rock the boat. However, there were a few twists that I didn't expect that kept me on my toes wondering how this story was going to end. I started out thinking I knew how this story was going to go from the synopsis but, this author really surprised me! This was a really good read that kept me guessing. To read my full review, go to:http://bookjunkiemom.blogspot.com/201...

I'll start by saying that I am generally not a fan of this genre and I'm sorry to admit, have always undervalued it. As time goes on, though, I am finding that a healthy dose of exciting, heartfelt, escapist chick lit can be an absolutely wonderful addition to ones literary diet. And seriously, Erin Lockwood's work is singlehandedly responsible for this shift in me.I devoured this book in one sitting. I loved how readable and engaging the narrative was. The pacing was ON POINT and Lockwood maintained a tone that was legitimately compelling while still being a whole lot of fun to read.As the story develops we get characterization and perspective that I think are perfectly executed. As a reader you're given just enough insight into the characters personalities and perceptions to keep you totally invested in them without feeling mentally daunting or unnecessarily dense. When I sit down to read a novel like this I'm hoping to get away for a bit. I'm not looking to confront the terrifying reality of the human condition...or ANYTHING like that.I want my mood lifted. I want out of my reading slump. I want something that feels a bit like listening to a story from a girlfriend. I want the characters and plot lines to feel just plausible enough without being bogged down by esoteric language or complicated thematic elements. I want to be thrilled without being stressed out. I want a world to jump into to escape my day-to-day stressors. And Angles totally delivers on ALL of those fronts. It's perfect in this sense. Just perfect.Do yourself a favor and give this book a try. You will find your heart racing while you eagerly turn pages, and hours will slip by unnoticed. When you return to reality you will feel refreshed and excited for the sequel.Good good good!

This was such a fun, enjoyable novel! The novel was recommended to me by a friend, and I thoroughly enjoyed it and read it over a few days. I was really impressed with the natural, easy writing style which the author has, and found myself becoming easily immersed into the story and characters from the very first chapter. The story is full of romance, drama and lots of action to keep your attention to the end, and I liked how the story is told from a first-person perspective as this really brought the story alive. There is a lot of tension displayed between the characters and great development of the characters and the overall storyline throughout the novel, and I will certainly be looking to read the next book in the series. Overall, this novel is very well-written and enjoyable, and I definitely recommend it.
