Climate Change for Beginners Reviews
I received my copy via Goodreads Giveaways. I found the book to be too simplistic for the climate-change-educated reader, but a good introduction to the topic 'for beginners'. All illustrations were fun and thought-provoking. While the characterization of naysayers was somewhat simplistic, it's a decent enough set of 'theory components' to get the beginner going. I was disappointed in the short, easy list of 'what to do' items near the end of the book; I expect that it's very inadequate, but of course, it's for beginners; hopefully, readers won't stop there.
I read this book for my AP Environmental Science class. It was a great introduction for the course and taught me what is really happening in our world. From learning the basics to the more advanced concepts, this book helped me grasp the most fundamental aspects of environmental science. Overall, it teaches the basics needed for becoming more knowledgeable about climate change. I expect to continue using this book later in my educational career.
This book was not only informative, but also fun to read. This book answered many of the questions I had about our environment, and was vital to the start of my education in AP environmental science. It gave me insite on the environmental issues our world faces today. It educated me on the problems while at the same time teaching me ways to lessen my ecological footprint.
Thought this gave me a clear outline and start for my high school AP Environmental Science class. It covers all the basics and gives you a clear understanding of climate change in the world we live in today. Would highly recommend for anyone begging to study the topic!
Great introduction to the science related to climate change and important reminder of the very possible global catastrophe that will result from ignorance. A bit too much focus on VP Gore's Inconvenient Truth in the final chapter.
I read this book last year. It was really great. It contains everything you need to know about climate change and it is easy to understand. If you want to know more about climate change, this book is worth reading！
