2 1/2 stars, mostly because I've really enjoyed this series.  But this one was...scattered. Very disorganized, and I'm not quite sure what the plot was. There wasn't a mystery, really. The MC, Katz, is kidnapped right after her wedding, there's a ghost in the house next door, arsons around town and just a mess overall.  The story didn't so much unfold but was told to you.  It's kind of like when someone tells you about a dream they had, but while interesting, is really just a collection of random thoughts shoehorned into a story.   Overall, not horrible (God knows I've read worse) but kind of a disappointment.  It felt like the story was thrown together without any planning.  Hopefully the next book in the series has a little more meat to it, otherwise I'll say goodbye to Katz and her cats.(view spoiler)[There were a lot of plot points that were lost. What happened to Katz's necklace and bridal veil? Didn't they bother looking for it? Why did Colleen's brother suddenly develop a drinking problem and hit on Katz? A lot of things in this story just didn't add up. (hide spoiler)]

Katz becomes a Cokenburger! Excellent Story!I don’t what made Katz think she could get married without incident and that’s not even counting the Siamese ring bearers. Cute idea but kind of crazy, lots of laughing.I like that Ms. Golden has built her town with unique and quirky characters. It feels like small town life where you have friends and not-so-friends that you interact with daily. People that share your life and know your business whether you would like them to or not. I truly liked the neighborly attitude of the people of Erie and the way they pull together in emergencies and celebrations. It is so mid-western. Katz sees the good in people, as with Stevie Sanders, who had been in a few of the books and it is nice to see that he is changing his life for the better. His sister, Barbie remains slightly flaky even though she has improved her life too. Jake is such a sweetheart. He and Katz are a great match. The love and respect they have for each other and their cats is inspiring. I look forward to them tackling the next mystery together. Nine heads is better that one, three, five, oh you get the picture.Kuddos to Ms. Golden for such an outstanding installment. I find that I thoroughly enjoy this series. Therefore my rating would be 5 Stars. If you haven’t read this book or series check it out, it’s worth the time. This is a Guest Review for Baroness' Book Trove. THE CATS THAT STALKED A GHOST will make out laugh out loud., make be at the edge of your seat..Loved everyone of the books in this series...You love cats? Well even if you don't this series is just a feel good series..In the sixth book in the Cozy Mystery by Karen Anne Golden this book is Funny, sweet..excitement like I never felt before...This one book I couldn't put down. The wedding of Katherine and Jake's draws near, and things start to happen in the pink house Katz inherited from her Great Aunt. She sees so something in the closet, well her and Scout do. Katz quickly tells her friend Colleen, whom jumps at the chance to pull her paranormal things to talk to the ghost. They find out the truth which is very strange to say the least, and at a insane asylum no less..Will Katz be able to talk to the ghost? Why is Katz seeing the ghost? There's mayhem in the little town of Erie, Indiana when fires start breaking out. Why is someone doing this? The cats are sure to play a part you know they will...and two new cats that Katz have are hysterical. The thing I loved about this book is how it flowed so well. I loved the characters..Yes the cats are a big part which is awesome. Love them the way Karen gives them there own voices..Most definitely want to read this book.

A woman who has inherited millions from an aunt she didn't know, a Victorian mansion, a wedding, a friendly ghost, arson and the cozy feel of the Erie, Indiana setting all combine to make this a great read for those who enjoy cozy mysteries with pets.Suggestion: before reading this book, read the previous books in the series. This was my first reading about Katherine and her special cats. I will say it reminded me of Lillian Jackson Braun books. I loved the cats' abilities to help in solving the mystery and in saving their human companion. These are a smart group of kitties. I loved Katherine who kept her wits about her. Her friends were very supportive. I found the number of characters, their names and their personalities a bit overwhelming. It was only after I read this book that I learned that it was one of a series and perhaps it wouldn't have been as confusing had I read the previous books.

You’ve heard of Murphy’s Law I’m sure. Well it certainly applies to this installment of Karen Anne Golden’s series. You see Katz and Jake are planning their wedding. It’s going to be a lovely affair. When Katz hears crying sounds coming from one of the rooms in the house she is thinking about selling, she goes to investigate, Finding nothing but an old rocking chair, mysteriously rocking, she thinks nothing of it. Then a real estate agent comes by and wants to look at the house. Things get even weirder from there. Ghosts appear, crows and raccoons seem to know the danger that Katz and her kitties are in and lend a paw or wing as it were. I won’t tell you any more. I’ll just say it was great. I couldn’t put it down. Now I’m waiting for the next one in the series. If you haven’t read the series, you really should. Not all of the books have ghosts, but they all do have some of the smartest cats I’ve met.

The Cats that Stalked a Ghostby Karen Anne GoldenI believe this is the 6th entry in this fun series set in Indiana. The usual Erie, IN group is back, and this episode celebrated the marriage of the main character, Katherine Kendall, to her Indiana squeeze, Jake Cokenberger. Along the way to the nuptials and honeymoon there are run-ins with serial arsonists, co-conspirators, a sad yet helpful ghost and tragic stories from the past. All seven cats now residing in the pink mansion are featured, although Abra and Scout figure most prominently. Evan's crow also makes an appearance. It was nice to see the Stevie Sanders character in a role that showcases the ability of one to make true life changes. As usual, the editing and proofing is great, characterizations are spot on, the plot is interest grabbing, the action often breath-taking, and the weaving of human, formerly human, and non-human character interactions is superb. A very quick and fun read.

Another excellent book in the "The Cats That..." series! These books are just plain fun to read! I suggested my library system purchase them in paper format, but they said they wouldn't. I think it's because they are published by Amazon and sold by them. Most public libraries use Baker and Taylor as their book distributor. If the distributor doesn't have them in their inventory then a lot of libraries won't purchase them from Amazon. These books are also available in eformat. You can also read them for free if you are a Kindle Unlimited subscriber via Amazon. This author deserves more attention and a larger readership. Her books are well written and very enjoyable.

This was excellent! I really enjoyed this mystery! Katz and her man are finally married, but in the process, lots of things go wrong; a judge is killed, there are random arson fires, including possibly the Pink Mansion, and Katz and Scout are kidnapped... a lot goes on in this one, and it could be hard to follow, if you haven't read some of the earlier ones and aren't familiar with the extended cast of characters. Highly recommended.

Another suspenseful story from a great author. With more than one mystery to solve, this was the best story so far. A ghost, a murder, kidnapping, this was action packed. I couldn't read fast enough, but now I want more. I hope there will be another "Cats that", book in this series. You will enjoy them too, but start with number one to get all of the important little details. 5 Stars from this fan.

Scout and a CrowWhile in the carriage house Katz see a long rocking chair moving by it self. Scout is quit upset about the room and wants out again. Katz see a sighting of a spirit at various times when she is in danger. She is getting ready for her marriage to Jake. Scout and Abra are featured in this book. The other 5 play a small part. I enjoy the interaction of the cats and this has become a favorite series. If you you like cats you will this book.

Katz and Jake's Weddind Day has finally arrived with a few complications. Katz has seen a teenage crying Ghost who seems to be telling her something. As the knot is tied but before the reception Katz disappears and the Judge is found dead. I love Karen Anne Golden's series with all the cats. Her main characters seem so real to me.. A fun ook to take your mind off more serious things. Looking forward to the next book.

Delight usI love this series with it's amazing cats and wonderful h/h . I have read all of these great books about Katz's amazing Siamese in one sitting, as the writing is compelling and I can't seem to put them down until I know what happened and why. Highly recommend especially for those who like cat themed cozies.

Great book!I love this series. This latest book was great!! I always enjoy how the cats can do amazing things unlike real cats. These are such fun books with great characters. I especially enjoyed this book because of the things that the crows were able to do. You'll just have to read the book to find out!!

Enjoyable I did enjoy this installment in this series, but what kept me from giving it five stars is the author's focus solely on the cat Scout, with appearances by Abra. I would love to see the other Siamese and Abby have significant roles to play in helping to solve the mysteries. Just my opinion and wishful thinking.

I do love cats but I think this series is just a bit much for me. I wanted more Ghosts (due to the title and prologue.) The mystery is all at the ending, however, we finally learned who the ghost was. I sort of wish the mystery had been written out and I would have enjoyed the romance with cats more. Just me.

Katz and Jake are finally married with Scout and Abra participating in typical cat style. Unfortunately they don't make it to the reception because Katz is mistakenly abducted. Crazy cats, a ghost, arson, an explosion, a reformed criminal, and very smart crows make this book move along smartly. Another quick read in the series.
