What the conspiracy theorists think they know is only disinformation, put out there to keep them from the real story.***NOTE***This is not a stand-alone novel. This is the final of five novels that tell Anna’s story.***WARNING***This book is for grownups. This book is not for people who are easily offended, get nightmares easily, or have difficulty reading books about tough subjects. I do not glorify bad things, but bad things do happen to my poor characters. This is not your typical love story. My heroine does not fall in love and live happily ever after... at least not like the typical heroine. There is a happily ever after, but it is a long, painful journey to that end. This book will likely offend you. This book might make you cry; it might make you throw up. It is a dark book. As my friend, Heidi, said, “It’s dark. It gets darker. It gets even darker, and then it gets even more darker. And then, just when you think it can’t get any darker, it does.”But, don’t worry. I take you to the deep end gradually. ;)There are many sexual situations in this series of books. People die. People get hurt. Things aren’t always truly the way they appear. The antagonist isn’t just a bad guy; he’s EVIL. My heroine’s worldview is skewed; things that may appall you are perfectly normal to her.Any violence in this book is non-gratuitous and crucial to the plot and character development.Do not read this if you are under the age of consent in your country. Do not get angry if the subject or actual book upsets you. If you're reading this, you've been warned....

Finally, A HEA For Anna!If you're a fan of this series, then you won't want to miss this fifth, and final, book. Devin's day of judgment has finally arrived and he will be forever changed. I was glad to have a front row seat!Compared to earlier books in the series, 'Emerged' is a lighter, tamer read. Although, that isn't to say it's without the darker elements this series is known for. Anna's life is much improved once she escapes Devin's clutches, but she still has her fair share of hardship to endure. As always, Anna doesn't spend any time wanting for male attention. Old love interests reappear and compete for her affections, alongside her latest boy-toy, Hugo. However, her sexual interactions seemed more meaningful this go-around and that was a welcome change.Overall, it was a satisfying conclusion to a great series. My only wish is that more time would have been focused on Devin's punishment and suffering. Maybe I'm morbid, but I really wanted more pain and torment on his part!

I can finally rest in peace. This series has haunted my dreams literally for this past week. I've been sleeping at 3-4 in the morning power napping and waking up at 6-7 to keep reading. I just don't have words to describe my feelings. It's like Marissa stuck a knife in my chest this whole week and ripped my heart open. I was crying on book 3 and from then on. I just coulnd't put this books down. I needed to keep reading hoping that by the end of each book Anna would finally find her HEA but I was dreadfully wrong. That Devin definitely knows his shit and how to mess with our heads. I couldn't leave her story hanging in my head. I couldn't just go to sleep and have happy dreams because I knew she was in so much pain (view spoiler)[ I haven't even gotten over poor Ian. It still hurts! I understand why he did it finally but he could have been redeem with something better(hide spoiler)]. I have literally graduated from dark erotica. Seriously! some scenes I wouldn't even bat an eyelash and think..."yeah poor girl, fucking Devin! But oh hell this is business as usual, he is simply evil ", and the other scenes :O My stomach felt queasy several if not many times throughout poor Anna's story...I've never read something so dark as this, not even Q Mercer, Anthony Rawlings, Caleb from Captive in the dark and Jethro Hawk can be as evil together as Devin was with Anna. The fucking life of Anna. I just couldn't sleep, eat, work, or read other things because her story kept hunting me. I felt her emotions very deeply. I cried when she cried. I felt impotence just as whilhelm felt. I felt every fucking thing. In my house they think I am schizophrenic mess. Seriously...I don't know how this woman pulled it off. I was starting to dread the end because there was so much fucked up shit that I didn't think Anna would ever recover or get out of it ...dead or alive...but.... I still have one question (view spoiler)[ about the monogamy or not in that relationship if Anna is no longer a slave and an elder-mistress, she has no longer to keep her duties and is only Alex's wife, will Alex still keep himself monogamous when he becomes an elder? I worried at his struggle to perfom elder duties when time came and how difficult it was for elders to keep their relationship monogamous...(hide spoiler)]I think this girl deserves it after all she's gone through. (view spoiler)[ Maybe Kurt can take his place(hide spoiler)] just sayin...Alex and Anna's story will forever be in my heart. God knows it raced horribly towards the end and cried (view spoiler)[ happy tears when it was finally over. (hide spoiler)]Now I feel empty :(

Wow, this has been incredible journey and one hell of a roller coaster ride. The entire series was an experience and met my full expectations on dark, gritty, intense romance. You want blood and gore, horrifying scenes, Marissa Honeycutt delivers. You want wild crazy Ooooo's, then grab your vibrator and have a seat because this book is for you! If you want me to tell you how the story goes, nahhhh not my style, get your own copy! Enjoy!

So different...I have anticipated this book and was so excited... but Emerged read differently than 1-4. It was much tamer, much less violent, and while I expected a wind down as it is the conclusion, I didn't expect it to be this different. It was very well written, all Ms. Honeycutt's books are, and I enjoyed it but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed. I expected... well, more. We have all been on pins and needles, expecting this huge showdown, the big finale, and it just kind of fizzled out. All loose ends were tied up nicely. There were no plot holes and we get an HE A but after the huge build up spanning four books, I guess I expected a fourth of July fireworks show and I'm a little sad to be left holding a sparkler.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.4.5 Stars!!The rollercoaster of dark, sexy, and depraved is over. I will never forget this heart stopping, soul smashing, heart breaking story. Definitely up there with some of my favorites. This is finally the end. I'm sad, I'm happy, it's bittersweet. Five books, you get addicted to the story, you fall for the characters, and you definitely don't want to let go. This was the best conclusion. Anna gets her HEA... Devin gets what he deserves. Actually I would appreciate 5 books about what Devin deserves. Hint. Hint. I'm still in awe that this was Marissa's debut series, I was shocked from the very first book and until the very last. I can't wait to see what will come from this author.

WOW! Last part of Anna's story. It's been such a wild, crazy journey it feels sad to reach the end. I'm going to do this review in two parts. (Some bizarre new thing of mine)First part is the short and sweet version, for those who aren't too keen on long reviews. Then I'll go in to more detail in the second part.Short Version:Incredible! This final part of Anna's story was always going to be bittersweet. I was dying to know how it all ended but also didn't want it to end. So I didn't want to rush it. I needed to know that Devin would get what he was due, whether Alex would rise from the dead, and whether poor Anna would get her happy ever after. All these things and many, many more were resolved. Emerged is like a book full of explanations. Any confusion over the last couple of books, is fully explained in this final part. I actually felt the clearest I've ever felt, after reading a Life of Anna book. The writing is, as it always is, completely addictive. I was dragged fully in to the story, and left unable to actually comprehend what is going on in the world around me. I would say this final part, was perhaps not quite as dark as the other books in the series, but that's not a bad thing. I felt like this whole final book, was like a conclusion to so many mysteries and confusion. Anyway, perfectly written and concluded. Highly recommended to fans of this series. I feel totally sad that it's come to an end, but I'm also excited to see what is coming next!!5 Huge Stars!!Longer Version.Emerged is part 5 in The life of Anna, if you have rocked up to this book without reading the other 4 parts first, you will be utterly lost. Go back to the first one. I loved this final chapter, in The Life of Anna. I think I laughed, cried, held my breath, screamed, and got all hot and flustered, all in the 615 pages (on my ipad) I read over the last few days. Yes, it took me a few days, sadly I received this in the Easter hols, some people like to think Easter is more important than reading about Anna. NOT ME!So anyway, I finally finished this mammoth book, and was completely satisfied with it. I'm not going to give any spoilers, but I will briefly summarise what is happening at this stage in the story. If you haven't read any books before this one, don't read on, as it will possibly give away parts from the books before this one. When book 4 finished, Anna had escaped, from the gathering and Devin. Finally people were starting to see that Anna was being treated basically like scum, by Devin, and anyone loyal to him.So after an elaborate plan was set up by some of the elders and sons, not loyal to Devin, Anna was helped to escape, and sent on to New York, to hide from Devin with a new identity. This is where the Emerged starts. Once in New York, Anna is reunited with Aaron and given a room living with him, and a place in the the same Ballet company as him. It would seem that Anna can finally start to live, without all the restraints. We basically spend quite a large chunk of the book, seeing Anna settle in, getting to find herself, and making new friends. It's actually a very calm time, considering what Anna usually goes through. And Anna spends a lot of this time, actually thinking for herself and discovering quite a few things, she did not know. This does all change soon enough though. I can't go any further with a summary, as important events start to unravel, as we go in to the next part of the book. It's like the next part is where all the confusion and foggy parts are all explained fully. Any cryptic parts from the past books, tend to be explained, or shown via memories or flashbacks. It was really enlightening, and I enjoyed seeing it through other characters eyes or point of views. The final chunk of the book was what I has been looking forward to. Where everything kicks off, all the drama and the parts we have waited 5 books for. It was definitely worth the wait, the tension in those parts was amazing. I felt like everything else around me had been switched to mute, while I was sucked in to the drama of this last chunk of the book. A couple of times I even felt myself well up, it was that dramatic! Even though the ending was perfect, amazingly written, and thought out. I actually felt more sad than ever reading that final couple of pages. Yes, I was happy, but so sad that this story had come to an end. It's been one of my favourite series of last year, and this year. I just couldn't fault it. And definitely didn't want it to end. I still had questions, and wanted to see the characters years down the line. One of the things I loved most about this series, was the world in which it took place. I remember saying that in my review of book 1. I loved all the background details, and everything about this whole new concept. The unique and original idea, that I had not read anything like it before, was fascinating. I just hope that another story comes out of this world, it would be so sad to see it all end. I more than highly recommend this book to everyone who has loved this series from the start! 5 massive stars!**I was given a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review**

What did I think? I LOVED IT!!!!!! This book has a completely different feel from the first four books. There wasn't the major darkness and debauchery! Well, there was a little at one point, but not to the extent this author had gotten us used to...... uh, can you really get used to it? I don't know, but I couldn't stop reading about it!Anna finally had a chance at being free, living a "normal" life, falling in love..... it was really great to see her inner strength shine and her become a strong young woman. I loved Hugo! I mean really, how could you not love Hugo?!?! He was the perfect gentleman and just what Anna needed in her life at the time! Don't get me wrong.....I was still pulling for Alex's return. I was so hopeful because the connection between Anna and Alex was so strong that I believed nothing could break it! Nothing!I don't want to mention too much..... avoiding spoilers! This is a series I will not easily forget. It is unlike anything I've ever read and it was addictive!Great, great conclusion to the series! I absolutely loved the ending! You rock Marissa!!!!

I can't express how good Emerged was! You truly outdid yourself Marissa! The Life of Anna series has stuck with me like no other book series have. It's bittersweet for me. I loved how the book ended and the happy ever after, but it also means that Anna's story is complete. I think Anna blossomed in this book and you get to see the true colors of other characters! Without giving too much away I especially enjoyed all of the revenge in this book, it was perfect! Emerged is the perfect title for this book because Anna did Emerge from the darkness that was her life! Once again my hats off to you Marissa well done!

Alright.. so reading this book gave me the creeps! Reading the whole series did. While reading it though - I was SO sure this book would become a typical Stockholm Syndrome where Anna would fall in love with Devin (which she did a few times) and end up with him and forgive him and Devin would be the nicest handsomest man out there.I'm SUPER glad that is not the case and I thought for a whole day whether to purchase this book or not knowing I would request a refund if such a thing happened. I appreciate the author going out of the norm and not over-flooding this book like in some of the other books from this series with sex, though it still did contain too much for my taste.. (one star lost here). I won't lie - I enjoy sex in books but to a limit.. then I just start skipping pages (3 pages at one time) of just "super awesome sex" and I find that quite disappointing.I love how it ended though it did end rather "fast" for my taste. Instead of pages of sex I think the author should have spent more time with the final gathering. Truly a befitting end though I disliked how (view spoiler)[Anna got everything she ever wanted - it takes a bit from the whole "the world isn't fair process". Yes she had a shit life but I hate how they made her life seem like it would be smooth sailing from then on cause we all know that ain't true(hide spoiler)](another star lost here). I also disliked how Anna was not the "hero" of her own story at the end but she waited on someone to save her - she helped very little which was quite disappointing considering this chapter was to be the one where she "emerged" from her shell. She did show a bit of this emergence (view spoiler)[ when she fought Jack(hide spoiler)] but that was all. And, I know everyone loves Alex but I totally love Seth..

I don't even know what to say! This series was an EPIC ride from start to finish, how do you put it into words?FINALLY, Anna has been bestowed some solace, some peace, and possibly a happy ending ;)Anna has joined Aaron in NY, luckily she joins the NYC ballet, and starts a new "fresh" life. Her new life includes another hunky man, who just so happens to fill the void for acceptance and love that Anna needs. As per his M.O., Devin continues his search...Crazy things happen, new characters appear, betrayals occur, and so SO much more. All the loose ends were neatly tied and all questions were answered, BUT I now have more questions!I couldn't put this down, and then I had to read it again because I wasn't ready to say goodbye.

There are literally not enough words to describe how in love I am with this series! From the moment I read Enslaved I was hooked. Anna's story drew me in like a moth to a flame. This series has given me a whole new range of emotions that I didn't even know we're possible. So beautiful written that you find yourself taking the journey along with Anna, Alex, Devin and so many more. Alex, the constant hero! The dream man that I'm sure we all wish we had.Devin, the evil villain that you love to hate and hate to love! There are so many wonderful things that I could say about this series! But above everything, the best advice I can give you is...Pick up this series and begin a journey you will never forget! You will not regret it, I promise you that!

*floating on cloud 9* I just finished Emerged. It was a long, hard, dark road to get here, book 5. But, it was so very worth it.If you've read any of the previous ones, don't miss out on this wonderful conclusion to the very darkest read I've ever encountered. From book 4 I went straight to book 5 and book 5 I read straight through - 13 hours.I hope that there is more to read about Anna and Alex and Kurt and Stef and Aaron and Sebastian and all the other wonderful characters we've met along the way. But even if this is truly the end of this incredible story, I know it will always stay with me.

Just ok.. 3.5I'm probably going to get burned at the stake for my review.I even waited a few days to make sure this is what I wanted to rate and say.I thought Anna was still annoying with the naive know it all. Although every time you think she's growing up, BOOM old ways again.I really don't want to give spoilers, so this review is vague.I thought it was just over done and time to end. Glad the ending happens the way it did.I hope everyone enjoys this book. To each their own.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Absolutely phenomenal final instalment in the Life Of Anna series! The first 4 books were brilliant but this was fantastic! To finally get my hands on it and to see the inevitable conclusion to this gripping tale was worth the short wait. I read it in one afternoon - I just couldn't put it down! Utterly tragic in places, faith-restoring in others, not to mention steaming hot! 5 stars from me! Highly recommended!

I told you guys Alex was alive! I told you! And see they did have a little baba! I knew it! I knew it! I knew it!The beginning of the book did drag on, but that was like the first five chapters. It took me a while to read this book because I was very busy recently. I read a little everyday before I slept until school was over.Hugo was really sweet and sexy. I enjoyed the way he treated Anna. She could finally just date someone. Someone who didn't know everything, but still understood and accepted her. It was so sweet reading their parts of the book. But that being said I still prefer Alex with Anna...Aaron being gay SUITS him! Like WOW. Finally his sexual preference suits him! And Cameron is so sweet! I love when we are in Aaron's Head/POV he comments on how men look. It's like finally I like his character like that. It suits him. It makes him more real for me. And the fact that only Anna interests him as a woman makes Anna even more special and supernatural! Just love her! But as we carry on towards the end he breaks up with Cameron and gets 'girlfriends' and I don't know how that sits with me... I preferred him with men... I will just pretend he finds a hot German guy instead of a lady friend.Oh and now to my darling, Anna. She is feisty!!!!! I love that she has a new and definitely improved attitude! She was strong. She was exactly the woman I knew she could be. She was still sweet but strong. When she killed Jack I was like 'You go girl'! Her love for Hugo was so sweet. The fact that she had the self control to abstain from just sleeping with him was so sweet. She truly is amazing. The Germans (Kurt and Wilhem) were being complete assholes in the first half of this book. I actually hated them a little. Ok I hated Kurt a lot... He was so rude and it was like he was bipolar. At least later we found out why... But that is not an excuse! He should have been romantic and adore her not fuck Jasmine. Speaking about Jasmine, she is the worst specimen ever! She is disgusting and just plain rude! Like how dare she rat Anna out to Devin, I mean is she stupid? Didn't she see how scary and stupid he is? Ok maybe he isn't stupid, he is very clever actually, but still. Jasmine was just rude. Even in the end after everything I didn't like her. There is no excuse for her. My Anna is special and she messed with her!Oh Alex, Alex, Alex... Do I need to say anymore? He was just so yummy. So so yummy. I loved every second of reading about him. AND MR J, HOW COULD I NOT HAVE STARTED WITH MR J? That was the genius named Marissa Honeycutt my friends! She is truly brilliant. Me being me I thought it was maybe Devin... Even though it showed directly to Alex, I still thought maybe he was playing my dearest Anna... But he wasn't and that is what made this a book from Marissa Honeycutt, when you try and out smart her she just shows you how brilliant she really is.This book is a work of art! A true genuine work of art.Awwwwwwwwww, the scene where Anna was in bed with Alex and she was about to 'manipulate' him into taking her with her was too sweet. Probably one of my favourite scenes in book. If not.my favourite.“Because....” I hesitated. “It’s my employer who is interested in her and he’s...shy.”This scene was also so cute. Seth, Tony and Greg are so sweet. But Seth is by far the best. He was the closest to Alex in my book. They were literally always together and Alex trusted him to look after Anna and to me that is the best friend.Devin had a cool ending. Definitely still want him to die, but he does need to suffer. He was really gross in the end. Like ewwwwwww. After reading all the books I can't believe I ever found him hot... Something must have been really wrong with me. I mean he is terrible... Somehow I even changed how I.think he looks. In the first two to three books I thought he was really gorgeous, but in this book he was just an atrocious old sick bastard...In the end I love Alex and Anna's ending the most obviously. I mean just the fact that she was free was amazing. But will she have any immortal abilities left? As I understand it, no, but I don't know...The way Alex loves Anna is amazing. I am so happy that she found someone that can love her like that. It's not like in other books where you want to be with the Hero of the book. In The Life of Anna you are so happy that she is happy. Anna is a very lovable character. You just want to befriend her and go all Stef on everyone who tries to touch even a single hair on her beautiful head. This book is ten stars! Maybe twenty! Maybe even a hundred. I adored this book. It was one of the best books ever. I can't wait to see where Marissa Honeycutt takes us after this. I don't know how she is going to top this series but I know she will... Plus that's her job to worry about. So love you guys. All of you. Especially Anna and Alex. I am going to miss you guys so much! But I will come visit a lot and I will re-visit a lot of stuff! Love you!

Painful readAnd when I say painful I don't mean heartbreaking, emotional roller coaster. I mean God freaking awful! I went into this book thinking it was going to be another two star review for me but then i came to the realization that it was going to be a one star! Lower if I could!Anna is finally free of Devin. Not completely free as a person but just free of an abusive person. She is bombarded with her past flames wanting to finally be with her and she is just all over the place at the start of the book. Aaron wants a chance with her because he is single. Tommy wants a chance with her but he's married. I don't remember all the other so called nice guys she was with but just about anyone she had a past fling with wanted to be with her when she got to New York. Then she meets some guy named Hugo and it's pretty much like her relationship with Ben only there is no sex at first. He's this honorable guy who respect women and this cliche jazz.It became painful and annoying to read when Anna started acting like a twenty something year old teenager! You would think after going what she went through in the first four books she would be grateful and humble that she is able to make her own choices, but no. She ends up being a spoiled, entitled brat thinking free means no one should tell her what to do! And people were only telling her what to do for her own damn safety! She was so ridiculous! Throwing tantrums when Tom told her Devin would be near and she needed to stay in the apartment for her own protection and she acted like she couldn't because she had things she needed to do. Well honey you won't have to worry about rehearsal and opening nights once Devin snatches your butt again because you couldn't be bother to stay put for a few days/She finally has sex with Hugo or is about to and then Wilhelm and Kurt come and she gets all huffy and puffy like some spoiled teen whose parent who walked in on a make out session with her boyfriend. She acts all smug and crap until she is punished and then goes back to being semi meek and mouse like. And SPOILER ALERT! MAJOR SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T LIKE SPOILERS!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Alex finally comes back because shock to not me, he is actually alive of course! Makes sense since Devin couldn't kill him before and he was able to communicate to Anna via creams.Well he finally comes back. Apparently he was the guy known as Mr. J and when Anna finds out that he has been there for two months her first reaction is to slap him for lying to her and not coming to her right away.Yeah because if he did you would have dropped Hugo to be with him because you were missing him just as terribly as you were in the last book! Cue the eye roll.So then the middle of the book is about Anna being torn over these two guys and Alex also wanting to be noble and not force Anna to be back with him. Saying he is going to fight for her and all this nonsense. Well she goes back to him but leads Hugo on by running to him over any dumb little bit if information from what Alex tells her about what he went through in the past years. Notably how he knocked up some girl up even though she lost the baby and he has to bring up her being knocked up by his own dad even though she also lost that baby!Ugh! Oh my God child get somewhere and sit down! Then she is mad at anyone who she finds out knew something and didn't tell her. Well at this point you can't blame them because looks at how she will react! She isn't mature enough to handle anything!Just no! This book- this series was a rip off! I read the last book, returned it for a refund and I will no longer think about this series or this author again. Just awful!

Okay I will start off with the good, this is a really good series about a journey of a young girl who finds herself locked in nightmare and no way to wake up to escape. This final book did not disappoint, it went down that path that you would expect. It had great moments of angst, sadness, love, and indifference. The bad for me was the retelling of Alex's POV, It isn't that I did not want to know what happened to him because I did and I enjoyed those. It was the other one that were a rehash. I really liked this story but it took to many books to get to the final and there is so much filler. For some this might have been great but for me this felt drug out and that is unfortunate. I believed that I knew the end but had to force myself to read this final story to make sure that I was correct and to also confirm that Devin received his just due. So I guess in the end it worked out that I read the fifth book in series that should have only been three maybe four books. Overall a good series for dark erotic readers but to be honest you could almost skip over three and four and read five and complete the story without much loss. While I enjoyed it, it just simply felt to stretched out. 5 stars for this book but 3.5 stars for the series.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked ReadsFinally the conclusion to this extremely harrowing, but totally compelling series. We were promised an ending we would deserve, but we certainly had to work for it! You really do need to read the series from the beginning to have a fighting chance of understanding this novel! I was delighted that the plot-lines were tied up, and that the hope which was hinted at towards the end of book 4 did in fact take hold. It was hugely satisfying to a loyal reader. A bit like a finale of a much loved tv show, there were cameo roles for a number of characters who had played a part in Anna's life to date. Great ending to a wildly dark and disturbing series. Will be putting the whole works on the reread pile, but will need to be on a sunny beach to deal with all that dark in one sitting!Thank you Ms Honeycutt - that must have been challenging to write.

What to say about this book other than the fact that it's amazing. This entire series is amazing. The Life of Anna follows Anna through her very rough life from the age of 12. Most of the things she goes through are terrifying and things we would find appalling. They are absolutely normal to her, In this final installment of LoA we see her grow into who she is supposed to be. Marissa tells us in the warning section of the series that there is a happily ever after and after what Anna has gone through she deserves it. And she gets it. I have never had a series make me feel so hopeless though it then give me peace and happiness at the end. Marissa does that. She is a genius with the way she wrote this series. I expected great things from this last book and she delivered them and more! Sorry for all the rambling. I finished a couple of hours ago and I'm still processing, but for me this entire series gets 10 starts, yes I said TEN stars! Please keep writing Marissa!

OMG!!! I purchased the book yesterday evening and after starting it , i was just unable to put it down even for a sec. This book was awesome and I am so glad that Anna got her HEA.This book starts from where emerged ended.Anna is free from Devin's clutches and starts a new life in New York with a new identity. She already has a set of old friends there to protect her and along the way she finds some new good friends , lover. Then in the middle she gets to meet a mystery man and from here on the story gets much more interesting.Devin gets the end he deserved and Anna her HEA but how she reaches that point is something you need to read.Emotions were high in this final part of the series too but here we get to see a new Anna. Anna truly emerges like a phoenix and has the same fire in her personality. The Anna in this part is not a submissive but a completely new girl.Marissa is an amazing writer and so is the Life of Anna series.

A truly thrilling read to end this series. Dark and twisted yet again but with lots of hot steamy sex along the way. I felt I was under a spell the whole way through reading it. Didn't want to put it down and savoured every word slowly once I had re read books 1-4. Marissa you had me worried at one stage with Anna and Hugo wth I new you promised us a happy ending but I started to think who with?I would of liked to see Devin suffer a bit more but then maybe that's just me lol. So glad Devin is where he is. Anna did a great job on him.Anna certainly Emerged in this book and a fitting end to a wonderful series. I most definitely wont be forgetting the Germans Wilhelm, Kurt and the gorgeous Alex in a hurry loved them some great BBF's. Really quite sad its all come to an end now :-(((I can't wait to read more of your works Marissa when they are released.

Wow what an ending 5***** Plus stars for one of the most amazing dark reads I have ever read.So hard to write a review without giving details away, you need to read and experience this amazing journey, Emerged was a bitter sweet read for me, was waiting for this final book but I am very sad that this is the ending in such a unique series.Emerged answered all of my questions left open from the previous parts, again Marissa messed with my head and my heart, had me smiling, cheering, laughing, crying and gave me the ending I wanted.Highly recommend this very dark twisted series. I am looking forward to seeing what new series Marissa has next.

A wonderful conclusion to a jaw dropping series.I was extremely pleased with how the author tied up all the loose ends and concluded the story of Anna. I was on the edge is my seat worrying about how things would end. I don't want to give away any spoilers so I will be vague. Let's just say karma is a good thing and knows what's best ;)I am over the moon happy with how things ended. I for one would be extremely happy if at some point the author were to revisit these characters. This series is one that will remain on my bookshelf and definitely be re-read. I absolutely loved it.

I can not believe how well this book and the other the series is written..These made me fell as I was the character Marissa Honeycutt has out done herself on this series and especially this book..***Extremely Dark*** and definitely not for someone very sensitive to the really bad things in life*** This book for some reason has a very believable truth to this story and characters it's scary a little...I can't wait to read the next set of books this author writes which I hope is really soon..Please!!
