Jason that boy is bossy with a capital B, "like hell you will." He closed the distance between them. "You will escort me." Jason just doesn't care what the topic of conversation is that boy is aiming to win every argument:"I'll cover your birth-control costs. I saw the pills in your purse.""And if it fails?" Nina asked quietly. "What if a pregnancy results?" Sienna couldn't look away, and the storm in Jason's eyes turned ferocious. "I'll be there for my babies." Can you say awkward, I would have been mortified to have our sex life or terms of sex life discussed with another person in the room, poor Sienna, but as I said Jason plays to win. When things are good between Sienna and Jason they are actually great, "yup. So why don't you just stay here today? We can be lazy, order some take-out and screw like monkeys." Jason may be a tough as nails kind of man but where is woman is concerned he is all bark and no bite, "Princess, I've been whipped since you started sassing me in French." I enjoyed this book I loved Jason.

Holy smokes Batman this book was HOT!!!This is the first book I have read by Kimberly Dean and I am glad that I read it. This may be Erotica romance but Kimberly did not hesitate to give the readers the whole package. This book is fun, sexy and Hot Hot Hot! If you want a book that is at a great price, about a dominating man, and a sophisticated woman who start their relationship in a troublesome way but end it with nights filled with passion and romance then this is the book for you!I received this book as an ARC from Netgalley for my honest review and I definitely recommend this Author and this book!Sienna is down and out on her luck she is working hard to prove to herself and her family that she can make it on her own. So even though Sienna has attended many charity balls as a guest; she now finds herself as a waitress at an even and instead of enjoying the great meal she is passing it out. Luckily or unluckily (depends on how you look at it) she catches the eye of one of the sexiest guests of the night Jason Sloan and Nina owner of Luxxor Escort Services sees it all go down. Nina ignites the flame and before Sienna and Jason knows what hits them they are a fire ball out of control!Sienna definitely goes out of the frying pan and into the fire in this book. But with Jason at her side I don't blame her, I think I would have enjoyed the sizzle as well!

Shadow's review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book ReviewsThis book was both hot and interesting. Sienna Blakely is a bright, lovely woman, but due to unexpected medical expenses, she has fallen on hard times. She is unable to find a job in her field of expertise, and finally, in spite of her upbringing that leads her to follow society's rules, she agrees to become an escort for Luxxor Escort Service. She quickly becomes the sole escort for Jason Sloan, and as the attraction between them grows, she signs a contract to allow sexual contact between them. But as she falls in love with Jason, she chafes under the fact that their relationship is based on a contract. Can she and Jason develop a real relationship? The sex is steamy, the emotional connection between the main characters is compelling and the main characters are all likable. Expect some light BDSM, but mainly you have a strong heroine, a yummy hero and a well written story.Review copy provided for an honest review.

Book SummaryPublished by - HarperCollins UK, AvonRelease Date - 27th November 2014Pages - 202My Rating - 5 StarsReviewI thoroughly enjoyed this book, from the moment that I read the blurb on the back of the cover all the way to the last word in the epilogue. It was beautifully written. So many authours are trying their hand at writing good girls going bad by becoming an escort, but if you ask me, I think that Kimberly Dean has the right blend of sugar and spice, soft and hard, sweet and angsty as well as just a dab of fun and drama thrown in for effect. Honestly, it is the perfect recipe for a book in this genre. Sexy and sofisticated meets hard and rough around the edges, no matter your tastes I've no doubt you'll find something you like in this book!

Courting Trouble, Kimberly DeanReview from Jeannie Zelos book reviewsGenre: Romance, EroticaI like a simple hot ands sexy read sometimes, and this was perfect. Sienna has had a financial crisis and become an Escort, a rich persons accompaniment. Its not sexual, that’s forbidden, they just pay for her time and company – sometimes a lady wants someone to come on a spa day, or have lunch, sometimes a man needs a date to an event, instead of going solo and being a magnet for all the single ( and not single ) ladies there. She balks when Nina first approaches her but it pays big time, and beats the waitressing she’s doing at the moment. It means too that she’ll have days free to look for work that fits her degree qualifications instead of being stuck waitressing. It hits her pride using her looks for a job, but she sees other she was at uni with who’ve found success using contacts or family and decides it’s worth it. Nina saw Sienna when she was waitressing at an event where Jason Sloan was attending. She’s always on the lookout for customers and people who will suit her business,Luxxor Escort Services,  so when she sees Jason looking at Sienna, sees that he can’t seem to take his eyes off her she gets an idea...Jason has been a customer but a hard to please one, so she talks to Sienna, finds out that she’s educated, speaks foreign languages, and as a Diplomat’s daughter is naturally able to converse with many types of people . Perfect. She just has to convince Sienna.  Its not long before things go her way, Jason needs a date and she assigns Sienna. They get on well, and soon he’s demanding her exclusively from Nina, he can’t bear the thought of her going out with others. The current contract forbids sex, and its clear he wants it and Sienna isn’t opposed to the idea though she feels guilty about her attraction to Jason. He’s so sensual, and turns her one so quickly she knows its only a matter of time before she gives in, contract or not, so they draw up a new contract. At first Sienna feels badly about it but Nina is convincing, and she’s so attracted to Jason so she signs. Then we get into the real meat of the book, the hot, raunchy, erotic sex, and they get closer and closer.  As time goes by Sienna starts to forget she’s his paid escort, and is falling in love. She’s scared but can’t stop herself from seeing him and feeling things. Then things go south, her awful ex is newscaster for a sporting event they are attending, and as an Ex profession hockey star the reporters are all swarming Jason and Sienna....Then things happen that force Sienna to admit some truths to herself. I love the sad bits. Of course the sensuality of the love scenes are good, but without the deep drama of when things go wrong for me its all just light fluff. So when every thing go badly and it looks like its the end that’s when the story gets made for me, I want to know how they will come through, what will be said, what will happen. This was perfect for me. It is what it is, and unashamed erotic romance. No huge surprises but a well written sexy read.  Stars: Five, a great easy to read sexy romance.ARC supplied by Netgalley and publishers

Title: Courting TroubleAuthor: Kimberly DeanPublisher/Year: HarperCollins Publishers 11/27/14Length: 201OverviewWhen times get tough, how bad does a good girl have to get?Sienna Blakely is bright, articulate, underemployed and forced to rely on the one asset she vowed never to use – her looks. With bills piling up, Sienna signs a contract with Luxxor Escort Services. A contract that strictly forbids any sexual contact with clients… And then she’s assigned to companion Jason Sloan. Just meeting the man causes a full-body jolt. Arrogant, powerful, and sexy, he’s trouble. And he can see through the facade she’s erected, right down to the intelligent and sensual woman underneath. He challenges her wits, and he challenges the rules. My ThoughtsI love sweet short stories like this one since they are easy to read, often packed with a lot of action, and some great romance between just a handful of characters. In this story we get to meet Sienna who's got a pedigree'd background, yet she's trying to make it on her own which isn't panning out as she's planned. It's through a chance encounter at a fundraiser (that she would have been attending in another time) that sparks fly with Jason Sloan, an ex hockey player turned business man that is the talk of the town when he shows up to functions. The chemistry between these 2 like i said before, is palpable. They are clearly drawn to each other at the detriment of sanity and the well being of their livelihoods and this is where the story really takes shape. The question that begs to be answered is whether or not they will be able to find a middle ground with their attraction while Jason finalizes a big deal and Sienna tries to make some money. It's tough for sure, and knowing that our leading man has to be controlling, it's kind of entertaining to watch. As much as i enjoyed this story - there's still so much that was introduced that was never quite answered. 1) what's the deal with Sienna's parents? what will become of them now that their situation has changed and i feel like Sienna never got to confront them about it 2) what's going to happen with Jason's arrest and the detective and WHY was Nina so riled up by him? I'm curious if it was fear or attraction - since we know that Nina's getting tired of being single 3) what's next for Sienna professionally? we see that her career path is taking a turn, yet i'm curious on how it's going to pan out. So, all in all a pretty enjoyable read - and i'm curious if we'll ever get to dive in deeper. Regardless, we get heat, passion, a nice romance and some naughtiness that will hold you over through this quick read. enjoy!

Firstly thanks to Avon for approving me for a review copy of this title via NetGalley. The story is about main character Sienna as she struggles to pay her bills while looking to start her career.Sienna has grown up learning independence from her mother and is determined that she will provide for herself. I liked this strength of character and I think it served her well in her initial interactions with Jason and her boss. Although in the face of not being able to pay her bills she opts to use her looks to get by in a slightly taboo but traditional way, I loved how her relationship with Jason never felt false or forced. The pair had an obvious physical attraction to each other but Sienna was clever and was able to hold her own with Jason.Jason Sloan has this raw magnetism about him which can only be described as slaying to the female species. He seems to draw you to him even with the arrogance and power that he exudes. He also has a much softer side and that really comes out when Sienna’s friend is in need. I loved that playful side to him and seeing his love of his spot coming through making him appear younger and less troubled. The story is told by both main characters in this story – Sienna and Jason – although the prologue comes from the perspective of a mutual acquaintance of both characters and allows you a first-hand outsider’s view of the attraction between the two characters. I thought this was a really clever move from Kimberly Dean as it sets the story off in a really different way.The dual narrative allows you to learn the story from the perspective of both Sienna and Jason and serves to heighten the intensity of the interaction between the two characters because the feelings they have for each other are so strong.I enjoyed this well written and fast paced story, reading it in one sitting. Although there is a taboo element to the story concerning the escort business there is definitely plenty of heat and drama throughout the story and I can definitely recommend the novel.I downloaded Courting Jealousy after reading this which is a fun, very quick read following on from Courting Trouble.

How can you absolutely love a story and dislike a story all at the same time? I will tell you how and when it happened for me. As I was reading Courting Trouble by Kimberly Dean, I was immediately drawn to the characters Sienna Blakely and Jason Sloan. Sienna was a well-educated young woman who was accustomed to the finer things in life from designer clothes to art and culture. Conversely, Jason Sloan, was a rough and tough ‘git-er-done’ by any legal means necessary kind of fellow who was a former professional hockey player. There chemistry was instant but their timing was slightly off, but then enters Nina, the CEO of Luxxor Services, who seems to be the answer to Sienna’s bleak existence and a fairy-god madam for she and Jason to get their groove oh so right. ‘How-so-and-ever’, the events that took place to get Sienna and Jason to their ‘happy place’ had me side-eyeing and eye-brow raising continuously. Sienna, a seemingly ‘good girl’ that appeared to be trying to so hard and doing everything right just couldn’t get ahead. Her family was demonstrating tough love by not supporting her, so the opportunity to work for Nina as an escort was a temporary fix for her desolate situation. I get that, a girl has to do what a girl has to do, but why was it necessary for Jason to take the solicitation route to get his woman after their initial date and spending ‘free’ time together? And, why did Sienna not want to resign from the agency before she went ‘tricking’ for treats?I digress. I loved these characters. I even loved most of the story. However, I thought the ending was a bit rushed and some parts of the storyline was here-there and there-there and sometimes it just didn’t make a bit of sense. Therefore, my recommendation would be to jog on over and read Courting Trouble by Kimberly Dean.A complimentary copy was provided via Netgalley in exchange for a honest review. For this review and other, visit

I received a copy of this story through NetGalley from the publisher/author for an honest review. Thank you! The story is told in alternating points of view between Sienna and Jason. There is a HEA and it can be read as a standalone, but the epilogue left me with the impression there might be a story for Nina and a police detective.Initially, I wasn't sure what kind of book this was. Although it started off with a mischievous feel from Nina's point of view, I kept expecting her to have more sinister motivations. It was obvious her line of business, but it never occurred to me she was more of a matchmaker. Add Jason's surly attitude and manipulative actions from the first chapter (as well as the creepy boyfriend of the roommate), and I was starting to think this was a much darker read.I'm so glad I stuck with it! About a quarter into the book, you see another side of Jason and it made him human. I liked Sienna's character a lot. She's kind, goodhearted, raised to always be perfect and fit a role, but you see her vulnerability, strength and determination. I especially like Jason ruffling her feathers.I found myself struggling to be ok with the whole "contract," particularly after they renegotiated its terms. Interestingly, I feel like it came across that Sienna was also struggling with it. Even Jason had moments, but was upfront that it was his means to have her. This was also a different take on some of the traditional alpha jerk, dark escort books. This escort company seems more about being a non-sexual companion for men needing a dinner guest, etc. In the long run, none of that sounds right or makes it ok, but suspending a little disbelief, thinking of this as more of a lighthearted romance story and not dark/erotic, as well as wanting a HEA for both of these likable characters, this worked for me.

See more of my reviews on my blog Thoughts At One In The Morning. My Thoughts:I was seriously impressed with this book! I wasn't sure what I'd be heading into when I picked it up, if it would be completely ridiculous as some of these tend to be. But by the end I was completely enthralled with Sienna and Jason and their relationship. The attraction between Sienna and Jason is intense, you can feel it sizzling through the pages as you're reading it. It's not just on the surface or superficial either, it goes deeper than that. Sienna's a smart girl, and it shows, which draws Jason in even more. Even though it's strictly business, the spark is definitely there, and you're pulled in by it just as much as they are. And talk about a steamy first kiss! Yowza!Courting Trouble is immensely hot and insanely amazing. It was sweet, it was sexy, it was captivating. I had trouble staying away for too long. I am very interested in reading more of what Kimberly Dean has to offer! My Rating: Very Good

Oh I really liked this book; I'm glad I decided to add books to Goodreads because :X I'd kinda forgotten this - but I do want to read more from Kimberly Dean.Escort services ... especially ones that are ACTUALLY what you think aren't an easy sell for me.I didn't love the whole - now I'm a prostitute" especially the way Jason forces her into it. I think what makes it ok in this situation is for Jason it was never about that. He's just an IDIOT. (Because why date and court a girl when you can just get a contract signed that says you can fuck her how you want?)...So yeah - not perfect, but even so a really well written and interesting story. Some of those problems made it a bit wangsty, but the good stuff more than outweighed it and is enough for me to look at what other books Ms. Dean has written - or will write.

I received a review copy of this book from the publisher, via Netgalley.Wow - that actually sums up my feelings on this book. It could so easily have been a "forumla" book retelling the age old story of the Courtesan and the Rich Gentleman but instead it was a hard hitting, very sexy love story between a just out of college young lady, who has been raised in the higher echelons of society, and a former pro-hockey player who has found success running his own company. From the moment their eyes met, whilst she was waitressing a function that he was attending, sparks flew off the pages. Along with all of the highs and lows their relationship goes through there are some funny moments as well, Sienna laying in bed having to listen to her house-mate have loud raucous sex with her boyfriend particularly stands out.All in all a fantastic read. Highly recommended.

***ARC from NetGalley in Exchange for an honest review***Holy Hotness, Batman! On the scorch your eyebrows level, this book was 5-star! The ahem, intimate, scenes were written to engage your imagination (among other things) but never really and truly crossed the line to ick-ville. The tension was palpable from every page and I loved that you could feel the frustration, uncertainty, want from both characters. The back story was a little meh - really could not understand Sienna's parents and that story arc distracted me more than it helped...did get some of the reasoning behind Sienna's money issues (but still more questions than answers for me). This is a high class re-telling of Pretty Woman with more steamy scenes. One-sitting read!

This was an extremely enjoyable fast read! At first glance Jason and Sienna seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum. He is a hot and powerful business man that women drool over and she is a lowly waitress who is struggling to find regular employment and pay her rent. However what they both have in common is the ability to adapt and the drive to succeed. When a meddling Escort agency CEO , Nina, brings Jason and Sienna together the attraction is automatic and electric. The lines are blurred and Sienna has to decide whether she wants to follow the rules or throw caution to the wind and go after the man she has fallen for.OMG I loved the dynamic relationship this couple has, they push each others buttons like no other! It made for very entertaining reading.

**Thanks to HarperCollins UK, Avon and Netgalley for my copy**I really liked this book. The very beginning was a bit slow, so I wasn't sure how the rest of the book would be. But, as soon as Sienna signed with Nina I felt like the humor, sexiness, bossiness, sassiness, and action picked up. At times this book did have a bit of real action (that punch, awesome! Go Jason!). It also had emotions and just downright sexiness. The chemistry and passion between Jason and Sienna was great. I loved how they weren't afraid to argue (especially when it was in French!). This book was that perfect combination of humor, sassiness, and sexiness!

If you follow my reading preferences, you'll know I'm a fan or romantic ice hockey reads. Another guilty pleasure are "Pretty Woman" structures similar to the situation in this story. In 2014, I read plenty of stinkers in these categories and I am thankful that Courting Trouble was a decent read. I know I will get some backlash here, but I did feel that some of the early steamy scenes, such as the 1st one with the noisy roommate and the next time when she tossed her underwear, were meant to be over the top with some shock value naughtiness and I would have appreciated it to be toned down more.

Thanks Netgalley for a free book to read and review. How bad does a good girl have to get? Pretty freaking bad. Interesting read with all sorts of twists....all that I didn't like was the contract. I really think Mr. suave could have come up with a better proposal then THE contract. Serious blunder but the author made it work even though I was screaming NO. Otherwise this was a pretty decent read and it held my attention. Overall entertainment was four stars. I would read more by this author.

This was a great steamy romance. I know a lot of it has been overdone but i quite liked this story. The characters were fun and i liked the pace of the story. Not a lot of time was wasted on the unimportant features. Jason Sloan is just what you would expect from a Jock and business man, the story made me smile with lots of steamy scenes which could make any girl wish she had a Jason sloan in her life. Loved it, i devoured this book in just 2 days couldn't put it down once i started it.

I'm undecided about this book. It was ok and parts of it kept my interest. I felt like there was something missing. I think maybe more back story on both Sienna and Jason may have helped. I wouldn't mind seeing a book about Nina and cop. I think that could have a interesting story line. Received from NetGalley for honest review.

I loved this emotional and sexy story of Jason and Sienna. I read the whole thing in one day and was quickly engrossed in the very real emotional drama. The sexual chemistry was off the charts and the characters were likeable. I would love to read another story centered around Nina and the sexy Detective and to see what else is happening with Jason and Sienna.

The book was very close to getting a higher rating, but while I understand why Jason did what he did and it was probably the right way to get Sienna to loosen up, I still feel it was morally wrong. The writing itself is very good and the sex very steamy, so as the final verdict I would suggest to read the book and make up your own mind about the moral aspect ...;)

Not crazy about the power dynamic. Most of the time, I felt like Jason's behavior was boorish and came closer to sexual harassment than courtship.Wasn't crazy about Sienna either. Chick basically had two modes: helpless or spineless.

This is an easy and satisfying romance read. It hits a good level between sexy and romantic, with a strong alpha male and a likeable female lead. Dean's characters are well-written, the plot flows well and the pacing is good. I'll be looking out for more from this author.
